  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Lexus RZ chronicals-by my wife

The truth is EV ownership is easier than ever. When I worked at Tesla a couple of years ago, the supercharger team told us you were never more than 80 miles to the next supercharger. As good as that is, that distance has undoubtedly been reduced since then. Add with that all of the other...

    Lexus RZ chronicals-by my wife

One pedal driving is something I will never go without again. There is so much more precise speed control of the vehicle, a more simplistic form of driving that once you get use to it, it can IMO offer a much smoother ride than a traditional ICE powered vehicle.

"I still have a lot to learn but my first EV is less of a learning curve than I thought it would be." This is the key line that pretty much sums up EV adoption. Most people think its some major change of vehicle ownership when in reality it really isn't. The only real difference is you got to...

Scout Concepts in Blythewood, South Carolina, April 20, 2026

Yes its good! Any new Scout content is lol! I will say Gjeebs messed up some of the facts but there are some cool things to check out, including seeing the harvester maintenance counter.

It might just be reaching for straws, but maybe, just maybe SM will see the feedback and alter the design to where we can remove it relatively easy should we want or need.

Unless its made into the lift gate which it isn't there has to be some way of removing/installing it especially for collision repair service. I'm sure the mounting locations of the arm will have to be reinforced to support the weight and all but I seriously doubt there will be no way to remove...

10-20 colors would be insane, but also not very likely unfortunately. Agreed there are a lot of people will need time to decide a color but I know at least one that wont.... @cyure 😅

Well this looks promising to me. If these arrows indicate the swing arm attachment points it looks like it could be very simple to remove with just two bolts. Surely these will have to be a special security bolts so people dont run off with our spares or back packs for that matter, but simple...

I did not even think of the PITA that could result in having a rear swing arm when charging. I would be very curious to know if Hummer EV SUV owners have had a similar problem as they have pretty much the same setup as the Traveler with a spare tire carrier will have. Of course the simplest...

    AI In Scouts 2027

GPS being one way tech is one of the greatest lies ever told. The tech was developed in the 60's to track submarines, not so that the submarines could know how to get somewhere lol! With the first satellites launched in the late 70's, it was not even made available to the public until the 2000's...

    Gjeebs Scout Review

Correct me if I'm wrong, but one thing I haven't seen yet, was the maintenance counter for the harvester, and I'm almost certain I haven't seen anyone use the UX in the models other than Scout employees yet. Yes I agree there was a lot of mis-information but Gjeebs has over 250k followers, the...

A new video from the one and only YT personality Gjeebs shows some new features, and early UX functionality in the Traveler. Awesome entertaining review and a great watch!

I get the logistics of the supplies and suppliers and all the trial and error that will come from choosing the paint colors, but just think about how high a new level of excitement around SM that could come from them releasing the launch colors "early". That is of course as long as they're not...

Look, I totally get not wanting to be watched by "the man" or participate in any of the the shenanigans that come with it. But the fact of the matter is if you own any type of GPS guidance system, that's all they need. This seemingly forgotten about technology can give an exact location within...

Oh I have a feeling this is going to be a spicy thread lol! I will say that even though I'm full BEV I could see this as being a reasonable solution....to a point. The "solution" itself makes sense and honestly is simple practical way of solving what appears to be a difficult problem SM is...
