  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    The Start/Stop Button

How I imagine @Jamie@ScoutMotors and his team are when trying to determine the start/stop button option. :ROFLMAO:

    The Start/Stop Button

The 9 year old analogy is a valid one. I use to worry about this when my, (at the time 8 year old son) use to sit in my Tesla in my garage and play the racing game that actually used the steering wheel, brake pedal and even accelerator when playing it. However, as long as there isn't a phone...

    The Start/Stop Button

I definitely don't want a start/stop button as I have a Rivian and have become accustomed to not having one. However, I would be completely fine with it being in the vehicle as long as I can opt to bypass it. That said, I think SM pretty much has to have at initial launch to satisfy the customer...

There are a lot of photos in this thread.

    The Start/Stop Button

This is interesting to read. One of my favorite parts about having an EV is being able to sit in it watch youtube or play games while i'm sitting in it waiting for the ball game start/end, rain delays, or while the wife is in the store shopping. This is especially true in the heat of summer...

    R2 Launch Watch

I have a R1 and I dont think the front cup holders are frail or fiddly at all. In fact, they are more than sturdy enough to survive the abuse my wife puts them through with her Stanley all weekend :ROFLMAO: But I also like that they retract too so we can utilize the center space floor area at...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

My last two purchases have been completely done in an app and I love it! When I actually took delivery I was at the service centers maybe 30 mins tops, and they were easily two of the best vehicle purchase experiences I've ever had.

    The Start/Stop Button

No start button. I've said this before, but when I was shopping for my next vehicle I shopped the current EV trucks on sale today, and honestly my decision came down to just two, the Rivian and the Hummer EV. I will say that my initial first pick was the Hummer because of the size, removable...

I'll gladly accept the frunk space sacrifice for more arc and tires from the start. 🤙

The only problem with this approach is the "car reviewers" will hammer SM for having something that could be functional on the vehicle but isn't.

Tbh I was expecting there to be more depth too. However, the direct front opening makes it easier than using the Rivian frunk, but there is quite a bit of space up front in the Rivian too and I use mine regularly. Specs for the Rivian Gen 2 frunk below.

New Traveler Color Concept - Satin White Traveler

Honestly I like the raw photos just as much if not more. I mean the one with just the guy squatting and taking a picture of his rig will be all of us at some point. 🤙

IMO losing the hood tie-downs would be a big loss. They are one of my favorite design features. Maybe a stern warning not to exceed the limits of them would suffice?

Same. Had it been literally any other day of the week I would've been able to make it. My comforting thought though is both HQ and the plant is in SC which is right next door to me, and undoubtedly there will be more events. If not, I will be watching the event notifications like a hawk and plan...

New Traveler Color Concept - Satin White Traveler

Agreed. Even though my Rivian has protruded handles it still helps to have them back lit in very dark areas. However, a bright puddle light could suffice though.

Its just a camp mode timer. Rivian has something similar to where it will keep the vehicle/outlets powered on for a selected amount of time.

New Traveler Color Concept - Satin White Traveler

I'm completely sold with this package. The winch integration and removal bumper ends are a fantastic addition and something I loved with my 2004 Jeep Wrangler. Truly the plan is to stick with the incredible heritage of the Scout brand with a fully focused and capable off-roader right from the...
