  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Ev Delay

Regardless of speculation, I hope that Scout provides official info on release timing sooner rather than later, so anyone who might be affected by a potential delay can adjust expectations.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

There so much info to keep up with, so I may have missed it. Has it been confirmed that the EREV is behind the timeline of the BEV?

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

It would be pretty frustrating for me if the BEV was that much delayed from the Harvester. I really don't want to, but the timeline is already so far out, I feel like that might push me to find an alternative.

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

Yeah, I think we left at about 4am and got home between 10-11pm. The two hour time difference heading West helped make it feel more manageable. It was not as bad as I expected it to be, but it wasn't fun by any means. And our dog was definitely over it. He didn't quite understand the whole...

Switching Harvester to All EV Model?

We just did a road trip from Colorado to Michigan and back in August/September. I've been on board the fully BEV train from the beginning, but this trip had me hesitate for one second on it. On the way to MI, we spaced the drive out over three days and it was not a big deal at all. But on the...

Package options - what would you like bundled?

It's been said already on this thread, but the "luxury" options I find are a need in a car for me are essentially the cold weather package type things. Heated seats AND steering wheel are top priority. Ideally a steering wheel that has heating all the way around if feasible. My Rav4's heated...

What do we think is going to happen on the 24th of October?

It would be really fun to have some kind of swag gift for early reservation holders. Plus, it's near my birthday so it would be a great birthday present! Fantasy land would be an announcement that they're way ahead of schedule and deliveries start next year 🤣

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

Given the loading height, it would be great if there was some kind of dog load ramp/stairs that tucks nicely away somewhere.

    What was your first car?

Mine was a used 2001 Jeep Cherokee (technically it wasn't mine, it was my parents' that was designated for my use). My friends always said they felt like they were heading off to war riding in it with the typical Jeep ride and roaring motor as I tried to accelerate up to speed. I paid to upgrade...

    2025 NYC photo-measurement requests

When you say inside cargo is about 4’ deep, is that to back of 2nd row? I think @J Alynn mentioned 37”, which is more like 3 feet. I’m really curious about this one since my goal is a much better cargo situation for bigger dog kennels and traveling with dogs + gear. My RAV4 is already around...

Scout Traveler Debuts in New Pacific Mist Color

I'd like to see this color in person! It looks really nice, but I don't think it's for me personally. I'm all in on Silo :DI love that Scout is showing all these great options though and hope that the variety makes it into production options. Also not sure how much of a fan I am of the denim...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Yeah, this would make a tough decision for me too! I was actually on the list for a LC when they came out, and got an allocation quicker than I expected. I decided to turn it down because it wasn't a NEED, it was a want. And it would have been a pretty hefty cost to take a step back in MPG and...

I'll be honest, I definitely make this stovetop at home as well when I'm feeling my sweet tooth.

    Frunk Cooking Recipes

My favorite camping treat is a throwback to my girl scout days...Using a pie iron, it's a modified Fluffernutter. Put marshmallow fluff on one piece of bread, peanut butter on the other. Sprinkle in M&Ms and sandwich together. Butter the outsides, put in the pie iron and cook over the fire until...

One feature that made you pull the the trigger on a reservation….

Same. I've been contemplating jumping into the EV world for awhile, but none have quite enticed me enough. The screen heavy approach we'd seen in the last decade was a total turn off for me. I'm also a big fan of the retro boxy styling, I'd considered a new Land Cruiser before deciding I didn't...

    Hey Lady Scouts!!

I love the idea of a virtual "packing" tool on the website pre-release. One thing that really annoys me about my Rav4 currently is I can't fit two bags of golf clubs in it without putting the backseats down. I'm hoping the Scout being bigger means I don't have to do that and can fit in either...
