  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

I need to set low expectations... My wife says I am the worst photographer EVER! BUT... for my friends in this community, I intend to do my best. I know how important the photos are to those that can't attend. I have truly appreciated those that your husband and others have posted. I have...

Just to be clear, the showing on Sunday is in Irmo, not downtown Columbia (Saturday only). @Jamie@ScoutMotors posted additional info for Sunday... https://community.scoutmotors.com/threads/scout-terra-concept-in-irmo-south-carolina-april-19-2026.7594/ I just didn't want you to miss the event...

Thanks for the post. Just realizing that there is this event next to the plant at Blythewood. I was planning to see the concepts downtown Columbia on Sunday, but this looks to be much better.

I guess the previous posts about not respecting the Scout concepts caused the vision. I know you weren't implying in the car, but you know when something just pops in your head you just can't help it. Like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. :ROFLMAO:

I envision a chocolate treat melting into the upholstery with our hot southern heat. Agent K probably won't let anyone with a chocolate treat or an ice cream within 102.5 feet of the Scouts. I know that's very specific. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

You would think this would be common sense. Even buying a new car, I am very protective of it because I know how hard and long it took to make the money for the purchase. I get it... but yet I am from the older generation who I feel respect for others property a lot more. Hope to see you guys in...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

The article states "In a prior statement, the company said it “appreciates the State of South Carolina’s continued commitment to completing the earthwork and site preparation” but it did not approach Commerce or the governor about making the budget ask." As mentioned, the poor management by...

I was planning to travel to Columbia to the event on Sunday for a chance to see the Traveler. The "Drive Electric Earth Month" event in Columbia appears to be part of the Soda City Market. The Soda City Market event appears to only occur on Saturday. Also, the link to the "Drive Electric Earth...

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

For me, it's more to do with how familiar you are with the vehicle whether it's ICE or EV. For an ICE vehicle, you tend to know if the "needle" can go past the "E" and sometimes even how far past. I tend to get anxiety even with my ICE vehicle when it approaches empty since it gets around 12...

SORRY! Correction...I purchased OBDLink CX. If you plan to use the OBD2 reader with ABRP, be sure to check inside the ABRP app for compatible devices. OBDLink MX+ is not recommended for ABRP. https://abrp.featurebase.app/en/help/articles/7457755-choosing-an-obd-device

Yes, this feeds live info and data about your driving style into ABRP making it more accurate from what I understand. I am still in the early stages of using it. Example of setup: Real world example of OBDII to ABRP:

I bought this OBD2 reader as recommended for use with the Ioniq 5 to support navigation with ABRP as a vast improvement over the Hyundai onboard navigation.

(y)Count me in! 🤙 I'll be shooting for Sunday just for a chance to see the Traveler (my first reservation). But later I also reserved the Terra...just in case. Wouldn't it be great not to have to choose, but to have both! Hope to see you there!
