  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Ford recently brought back "Ford Employee Pricing" which typically had discounted prices on current inventory, however the Stroppe I been tracking was listed at 66k prior to the Ford Employee Pricing and now listed at 71k at my local dealer. Because of this promotional pricing, it seems it may...

Now if you said you had Napster as your music streaming service perhaps I would have questioned your age and praised your patience of downloading 1 song taking 45 minutes.

The Scout II interested has flipped from the 80/800, it use to be the 80/800 were more desirable, now it's the Scout II. I think this has to do with generational interest and 70/80 and even 90s style cars are gaining more interest.

I questioned this as well, if so look's incredible. If SM decided to go a 2-door route, I questioned if the design would change, e.g. Scout 80/800 style. However following the same design of the currently Traveler makes sense as a boxier design that follows the 80/800 design may look too Broncoish.

Haha, I love this picture, especially the dog on the far right who decides "Ok, I guess I'll pose for this picture, but I'm gonna lay down"

I'll second that comment, one of the things I have really enjoyed about this revival is it's link to heritage and community, once big wigs get involved that ethos may change.

It's safe to say early adopters will be faced with some issues that often accompany first year model vehicles. Based on the marketing Scout as provided up to this point they seem be authentic, people driven and detail oriented which helps me feel better about the buying decision if issues do...

That's a very good point, it's amazing how these lines compliment the overall aesthetics of the vesicles when discussing the Scout II and now Traveler.

    Bluey The 1979 Scout II

Mike over at Riptide is great. I too have be ambivlant on my current Scout on having a drivability conversion done with some other tasteful modifications done but the price tag would be north of 80k at any specialty shop. It's likely more cost effective to keep an eye on inventory online that...

    Off-topic stuff…

I could have seen this as the potential name for the SM truck as it is a crew cab vs the Terra which was not is the past.
