  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Agreed, apparently the rear seats can be rear facing which will be interesting (if true) to see how this is incorporated from a design standpoint. I kinda like this idea on a limited basis, e.g. when driving on the beach.

New Scout Driven By Community Video - The Wayfinder

This video perfectly captures the true ethos of the Scout, it’s not about the destination, but the journey and the people you meet. The vehicle remains a timeless, beautiful time capsule that looks just as great today as it did in the decades ago. The passionate Scout community has done an...

New Scout Driven By Community Video - The Wayfinder

I can't recommend going to Overland Expo enough which occurs in Octover for the Overland East in Virginia. This is a great opportunity to meet the builders and have an opportunity to see in person and typically you can see and test inside. Also, beautiful area if you want to make it a short...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

The pricing debate around Scout honestly reminds me a lot of the cold plunge market. A cold plunge is still just cold water, but over time, the market evolved from “throw ice in a stock tank” into fully integrated systems with filtration, temperature control, sanitation, insulation, recovery...

A lot of good debate here- I honestly didn’t expect this post to gain as much traction as it has. Collaboration and branding in the auto industry goes way back; I previously posted about Levi’s partnering with Jeep back in the ‘70s. That said, I do think branding is still a pretty niche market...

Filson edition Bronco https://www.motortrend.com/news/ford-bronco-filson-edition I wouldn't mind seeing Scout doing a collaboration, which leads to the question of which brand?

Also, the "TerraMax" seems like a incredible idea, especially for a shorter bed, after seeing this, I'm surprised we haven't seem something similar. Although I'm sure it would require a weight disclosure. The Bronco 4-door has a "Slide out tailgate" option which I do miss, hopefully aftermarket...

And this dash design (below) to accommodate these style cup holders. I remember something similar that would go in your driver/passenger window and periodically would fly out the window.

Thanks for sharing, I've never seen this before. The "Scout III" kinda looks like an 80s Blazer or future Slate Truck. Also, I like the instrument panel in the center, kinda like the Nissan Z.

Makes sense, I'm about to tackle the same project on my 800 and yours turned out great. I might be dead next week as I was a little too close to using paint remover and pressure washing near out flower/garden bed- cause of death will either come from my spouse or chemical ingestion.
