Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy.     The real issue is that EPA range != highway range. But people (the general public that is, not anyone here) hear that, and think that is the guaranteed highway range. I do think that is a problem. As if a vehicle doesn't meet your expectations when you bought it, people get frustrated fast...

    I'm the opposite here. Not trying to sound rude, but I don't want the price of a VIP tour/banquet to increase the price of my vehicle. Personally, I don't see that as a value add, I see it as a value decrease (costs me time, and money, a lot of it... like a week, as I'm like 2500 miles away)...

    If the axle is just stopping "randomly", it sounds like the ring and pinion might be missing some teeth/not meshing correctly. A shop should be able to rebuild it. I haven't checked pricing lately, but back in the day (20 years ago) it was like $500-1000 for new ring/pinion + labor to install...
