  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Can’t remember which one, but one of the 50 you tube videos I’ve probably watched.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I have heard that there was a possibility that scout was going to use VW dealerships as service centers. Maybe that’s what led to this? “You can’t sell our cars but we will use you to fix them”. Could be just here say though.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

The trim border on the front and rear of the Terra makes this thing stand out. LOVE THEM!!!

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Bring back the rectangles/square lights!!! But also, thanks for the insight. I personally love the design as is tho, so I hope the production models don’t lose too much from what has been shown around

Is the EREV going to be a flop?

I disagree… if they sit back and let other companies try new battery tech and it works… their launch vehicles will fail miserably. I feel like the next jump in batteries will be a giant leap (cliche, I know) so vehicles without them will lose almost all value. Unless of course, new battery...

Is the EREV going to be a flop?

^^^ this!!!! I dunno if it’s a good thing or a bad thing that a few companies are already claiming either new battery compositions or that they have solved solid state. The bad: Strictly speculation, but I would think Scout’s battery production has already been determined and/or designed...

Try working in the oilfield. Lol

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I am in the is boat. The styling of the scout with the capabilities of a jeep is what drew me to it. I’m not a fan of midsize trucks (too cramped on the interior) so that ruled out the Gladiator for me personally. The whole EV this is complicated for me…. I live in NY where the electric prices...

    Spare tire discussion

I currently drive a lifted wrangler rubicon and couldn’t imagine driving on anything less than 35’s again. 37’s are sooooo tempting but I dunno if it’s worth the trade off. All that being said if a 33 can be stored under the bed and get me home in a pinch, even outfitted with 35’s, I would sign...

    Key Fob question

What are the chances we can get our phones to act as the key fob? Personally I hate carrying anything other than wallet and phone in my pockets.

    Terra - Roof Top Option

Yeah, has there been any 2026 events scheduled?

    Terra - Roof Top Option

I am personally hoping for the cabana top. Paired w/ the roll down rear window it would be very similar to the open air experience of my Jeep Wrangler, but in a full sized truck. Would be AMAZING!!! One video from RomR at the CES show said the terra with cabana top “might” be an option, and it...

    Battery used

Additional to donut labs’ claim… BYD is also claiming to have 2 new batteries coming. One is a Sodium Ion and the other was solid state as well. I believe the Sodium Ion version was going to be mass produced this year.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Well as the title of the thread says, what’s a feature you are hoping for that hasn’t been shown.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Would like to see a cabana top on the Terra A scout app for all car functions that could be used in place of a key fob retractable tonneau cover

How would you build your Scout?

Terra Harvester Blue/gray or black (satin finish) 35” on air suspension Cabana top Tonneau Cover Prefer a modern/neutral interior color (dislike the hemp wood) Rubber floor mats (would prefer no carpet, and all rubber floors) center console (no bench)

Concern about the complexity and cost of repairs/maintenance for EREV

unpopular opinion..... should the EREV be cheaper than the BEV? The battery pack in EV's are probably the most expensive part of the vehicle, so one could think that a smaller battery pack in a EREV would be cheaper than the pure BEV. Now I'm sure due to all the added parts needed to integrate...

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

It was indeed RomR at the CES show that hinted at the cabana top for the Terra. Said its TBD but seemed like Scout employees want to do it, and later mentions that it seems like it will be an option.

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

I rewatched the out of spec video and the cabana top mention was not from him… it may have been Romr, but I will continue to try and hunt down the video in which it was mentioned.
