  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Exactly but options are the profit center so I get it-I just don’t like it

Love that color. Never seen one in pea green. Very unique

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

I agree with you on your point. I saw it Tuesday where a service truck damn near side swiped a dump truck at a work zone zipper doing exactly what you said so that’s not cool. But I do think reasonable driving habits and using both lanes does keep traffic flowing better. But I also get upset...

Have to agree. When you zipper properly traffic moves more efficiently. It’s the one guy who splits the lanes 1 mile before and backs up EVERYBODY!

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

I’ve had a flat bottom wheel and I actually like it equally if not better and I’m a free spin back to center user and it always worked fine and I had no issues

    Yeah-gotta start thinking about that

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Would agree on this and the flat bottom gives various statures the ability to move up and still have leg room

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

When sales finally start I’d like SM to send us all (or maybe just posting would be easier and cheaper) and tell us the ideas they did crowd source or were maybe on the fence and enough of us posted so they added it. With this unique consumer input style forum it would be nice to see a list and...

Not even the electrical wire nuts? Guess I’m sending something back to Amazon tonight

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

When we got the Lexus our overall rates adjusted. Being with same carrier for over 30 years we get a lock in price that holds until we change a car or change our policy so we don’t see year over year increases. So the Lexus did trigger that and we have three cars so the updates for all three was...

April 2026 Scout Production Center Update

I have to believe it’s a combo and exterior sheet metal will start being added. They had those other frankenstein test mules they ran over winter in Europe so I would think new mules will be more likely to incorporate final parts and pieces since stamping will soon be ready if I’m reading...

Realized that myself last night that theoretically we are 18 months away from that isn’t long at all

I hear the money flying away one bill at a time. When time comes and you can’t afford the tire carrier remember we tried to counsel you 😆

    Cross Shopping

I like knowing their software and speech tracking can handle that

All great suggestions. I’ll beckon again and note that 3 driver settings would be awesome-even if one of the extra toggles could be programmed as an activation switch. Having older children that drive makes it nice having a Mom, Dad and teen/child saved settings

    Optional 2nd Row Captain Chairs

Will have some variation of that for sure. The nice thing with MDX and captains was that 20% open space so you could still fit 2 rear passengers and put gear or kids crap or a Home Depot haul between the seats. I hope the rear bench has a 40/20/40 (European approach) split upper for added...

First Time EV Owner: Live experience report

Learning so much! Had the Lexus now for well over a month and still getting by on trickle charge. Realized the park less than half mile away has an EV Go charger and still holding at $.25/Kwh so in a pinch we can run there to do a full charge vs trying to trickle over night if something comes up
