  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Yes Out if Spec and a few others did get early vehicles without early reservations. Out of Spec took much grief for it…and pushed back at their viewers for it, too…

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

    Change of Heart?

With Rivian early reservation holders figured out order numbers were embedded in the url if the reservation page, but Rivian ultimately rejiggered order numbers based on type and color of vehicle and most importantly your proximity to a service center location as they were opened. I’d expect...

TFL dumping on Scout in there latest video

…that’s kind of a big gap. I’m curious how they gain such a huge cost advantage over their competitors. I’d start by asking who they consider their competitors to be….

TFL dumping on Scout in there latest video

There’s been almost $200 billion invested in EV production, while GM and VW have abandoned models. Consumer demand for EVs in the HS is disappointing other makers while Scout is bucking the trend…

TFL dumping on Scout in there latest video

Yah, negativity may be a click hunt but they make a few good points- if/when Scout arrives there will be formidable competitors in the segment. Crowded? Maybe…and yes, there have always been formidable challenges to bring a new badge to market. A startup automaker was unheard of for decades...

    R2 Launch Watch

…the explanation I heard was the area above the glass is the critical aerodynamics feature so a wiper mounted above the glass was out of the question. The ‘wiper cubby’ while making the tailgate neat and tidy isn’t primarily for aero it’s because the blade can’t be surface mounted and still have...

    Change of Heart?

…that’s not an appropriate characterization. With 10,000? posts you won’t see the forum as more than a fan boi hangout. I get it there were thought police early on at Rivian and at Tesla, too. It should be place where the challenges can be openly discussed as well…at least to the company even if...

    Change of Heart?

Can you clarify these statements- specifically, are you saying the original 200 million and now the additional 200 million were for infrastructure and none of the old or new request is for payments subsidizing the factory or other private construction?

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

…yes, I suspect that was part of it. If you’re going to launch a nostalgia vehicle you need to capture the appeal of the original. White on white doesn’t do that…

    Harvester

….Hertz just rented me a new RAV4 hybrid. I drove it from the airport up in to the mountains an hour away and back with no charging no refuel and it still showed a full tank. Magic! I also had to use trail mode a couple times on washed out roads. It’s a very capable vehicle- I was impressed…

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

…yah they hit many of the points we’re addressing. I’m not sure I like the Scout/Buzz comparison- one thing all the talking heads miss is how the dealers helped botched the rollout. I had some interest in it but that was extinguished when the 40k over MSRP numbers were bouncing around. I left...
