  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Man, the way AI is excessively verbose has to infuriate you more than most!

    R2 Launch Watch

I remember those chintzy pop-outs from my BMW. Definitely a disaster mixing jumbo liquid with twin-turbo coupe.

    The Start/Stop Button

I haven't paid much attention to this debate as I don't care that much, but I do find myself sitting in a vehicle waiting on my wife and I like everything off. I don't care about a start button, but is there an easy way to power everything down in an EV while I'm still sitting in it?

    R2 Launch Watch

I'm an exceptionally well-hydrated person, but I can't figure out the desire to carry a 55-gallon drum of my beverage of choice. Maybe it's for exercise??

Scout Concepts are coming home April 18-20, 2026

To give you an idea of how large the Scout site is... It's the bright spot in the middle of my circle.

The left side of this picture is the body shop. The area with glass is the connector between the main assembly building (not shown, off to the right). The taller building behind the glassed in portion is the paint shop.

While I hate working in Mecklenburg Co (Charlotte area), I suspect you'd find our codes to be, uhh, lacking. We're still working from IRC 2015 :ROFLMAO:

I'm on the other side of that and hate going through existing homes. I always seem to get the crap jobs and can't decide if I'm on an episode of Punk'd or Hoarders. With that said, you're very correct about the stuff people leave out... After 25+ years doing this, I would be very impressed if...

You're a good woman, I don't care what the others say! :ROFLMAO:

That front bumper looks a lot like the new winch bumper!

Did the design/build thing for years, and you are definitely correct. Two personalities, one product, there has to be some give and take.

For work, I pry deep into customers' minds and pull out ideas, feelings and thoughts they're unable to verbalize. Afterwards, they're often left in need of relationship counseling, which I can also help with, though I'm not certified. In layman's terms, I do custom home design. :ROFLMAO:

Love the way you used the structural ridge to support the valleys and continued that look with some beefy collar ties. Very well done!

Scout Concepts are coming home April 18-20, 2026

Well, we've both been here since November of 2022, so I'm really hoping this is only a 5-year drama and we end up with our vehicles at the end of next year! Based on your welcome package though...

This is the kind of post I come here for!! I'd love more of this insider stuff as I find it so fascinating. Can you give any details on what lighting is changing for the government regulations?

I was hoping it was an Easter egg for our April update or something...

That appears to be a countdown on the dash instrument panel. What happens when it gets to zero??

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

What I'm hearing is that I need to get a bike first (though I have no interest in riding). Assuming I survive my wife, she'd be much more amenable to a nicer sports car, right? Right? :ROFLMAO:

Is the Squat Look a Real Photo or AI Generated?

The Tahitian at Nats was on 35's. Pretty sure the OP's picture would be correct proportionally speaking if it were were on the 37's that Scout has said will fit.
