  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Wheel Style Poll

Really hoping they go with the more common 6x139.7 and don't relegate us to the more limited 6x135 F-150 aftermarket. Also hoping for a common offset/backspacing for compatibility. I don't know of any current VW products with a 6-lug wheel, so I don't think they'd be predisposed to one pattern...

    FB find of the day

That's virtually identical to the color I powder-coated my calipers in on my current car. Love me some orange!

When CATL speaks, I pay attention compared to someone like, say, Donut Lab... :ROFLMAO:

    Headed up display with navigation.

My first car with navigation was back in '02 and I used it a lot since it was pretty novel. It's amazing how quickly your brain comes to rely on such a crutch and I quickly realized I had no clue how to get home from whatever job site I was on without using the navigation. Since then, I do the...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I think you hit the nail on the head. The Chinese can make a more affordable vehicle at the sacrifice of service because they're designed to be disposable, but more and more automakers have been heading that way for some time. My old '85 Toyota is MUCH more serviceable than my '07 Toyota with...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I thought the same about the Traveler until I saw how high the load floor was in the picture below. Anyone have a side picture of the Terra with the tailgate down?

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Looks to be in a decent location based on my overlaying of the patent image on the Traveler profile.

Doing some image importing and scaling, I'm coming up with 13 1/2" from ground to bottom of the engine skid plate with 35" tires.

Ignore the words, focus on the patent images.

Scout Concepts are coming home April 18-20, 2026

If they're picking a mustard yellow and posting to rub it in, you should take it personally. :ROFLMAO:

I was thinking the more subtle Fucyure.

April 2026 Scout Production Center Update

I could be reading too much into this, but there's a separate parking lot beside the supplier park with a number of cars in there and there's a lot of equipment around that rear, right building. I think somebody is building assembly lines in there as well. Perhaps the rumored Mobis battery plant?

March 2026 Scout Production Center Update

I know I'm not the only one that wants to take a ride of some sort on all of these roller systems, right? Being pushed on a sled, just running and body surfing? Something?

    Scout Color Poll #1

Definitely a fan of browns. Prismatic Powders (powdercoating supplier) has a nice Super Rootbeer color I'm considering powdercoating my Tahitian Traveler's wheels in, but it'd make a nice vehicle color too.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

So disappointed you left someone off the list...
