  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

OK we did our drive-by a few days ago, finally holding in one place for a bit so could make time to organize photos. A few notes - Stayed in the delightful and luxurious Home2 Suites nearby. Best Only option for Hilton. Our view from top floor facing west didn't reveal too much from afar due...

The Road to Scout Production - All the latest updates in one place...

Yeah, yeah. I think access to the Red House via Blythewood Rd. is a bit west of the road that provides best view of construction - Locklier Rd. or Community Rd.? But don't know what roads/accesses/entry points are available/best for trespassing viewing, etc. We're arriving Sat night from VA...

I’m doing a drive-by this weekend, how best to navigate around the site?

Someone call an ambulance. (I just asked Chapt GPT to roast the Scout Traveler)

Hilarious, love it. I suspect CEO Keough has a solid sense of humor and would secretly be rolling in laughter over it. We have our factory site drive-by coming up in just a few weeks, heading south for spring break.

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

To suspect is not to assert. We'll see.

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

I suspect there will be three prospective locations for spare - carrier, under, and inside - but under won't be possible w/ EREV's ICE. I'm all in for BEV w/out carrier. YMMV.

International Harvester Sierra Fall Rallye appearance?

How about a viewing event at corporate HQ in Tysons Corner? Parking deck could be helpful, plus swanky catering from Fogo de Chão. I think I missed my calling as an event planner.

    Traveler without rear tire carrier

I think it looks better in black - contrast brings out design cues, etc. Especially w/out carrier blocking easy access to split tailgate.

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

OK that was satire... But a Scout with fake departing-UFO warbling would be really cool.

Scouting the Road Ahead With Scout Motors President and CEO Scott Keogh

I'm all-in for BEV, but curious when ICE will need to power up to extend that 150 by 350 to 500. Figure it will be well before that smaller battery is exhausted at 150 miles - maybe startup midway at 75? Or perhaps it needs to be running at the outset from full charge?

Porsche And Audi Plan US Production To Avoid Tariffs, Audi May Get Spinoff Scout SUV: Codenamed - Hardcore

Scout Warns VW Dealers Fighting Direct Sales That It’s Not Playing Around

I wonder if VW might "gain access" for SM to Rivian service centers via JV? "Volkswagen Group and Rivian Automotive launched their joint venture on Nov. 13, creating a new company called “Rivian and VW Group Technology.” The new company will focus on developing a electrical/electronic...

Scout Warns VW Dealers Fighting Direct Sales That It’s Not Playing Around

Odd that some refuse to understand this. Also noteworthy that Scout corporate HQ is physically separate and distinct from VWGoA HQ - no doubt will become part of the legal narrative - Scout Motors Inc. 1775 Tysons Boulevard Tysons, VA 22102 vs. Volkswagen Group of America 1950...

First Responders, Military and Veterans Program

Surely there's going to be food at Blythewood Experience Center? Mission BBQ would answer the call for a military/first-responder tie-in and probably be far better than most other random outsourced-food options. Really just some constructive satire that happens to be a brilliant idea - plenty...
