  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Shopping for a “new” BEV while waiting for the Scout Traveler BEV.

Just as a FYI there's a 3rd party tool called EVPlay which lets you use CarPlay on the Rivian. I haven't dug too much into it, but put a pin on it while I wait for my R2 reservation to pop.

    Lexus RZ chronicals-by my wife

range anxiety is me filling up my One thing that I am absolutely positive EVs do better than gas cars. In the subaru I know what "10 miles" means when it says that much is left, and I can tell you its more than 10 miles.

I love this thread. I'm an enthusiast in the community but a normie when it comes to technical knowledge and general EV experience, so its great to hear experience/reviews from the general consumer instead of the people who debate charge curves and kWh efficiency based on temperature. For the...

I could see a use if it gave the ability to adjust the tailgate depth, but I don't really get the point of the roll up.

We have a 2024 XC90 and its been great with only a few minor issues that were covered by warranty (2nd row passenger window rattled because it wasn't seated properly, quick fix) My only complaint is really with the software, and while their latest upgrade is a HUGE improvement, it somehow made...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

I didn't even think to include the X/Y in there, I'm going to update with those two added.

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

My wife drives a Volvo XC90. I always pictured the Traveler as an XC60 (or I guess EX60 now) alternative. But the XC90 is only 5 inches longer than the Traveler without the spare. The R1S is only 9 inches longer without the spare. These two cars are $62k (the electric EX90 is $79k) and $77k...

Don't let the Scout become a status symbol; why $60k misses the point of the Revival

This is a trap that many people (including myself) constantly fall into. They are much bigger vehicles than you think.
