  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

That seems really tall. That would be 6’4” to 6’6” without a rack. Now when I was at Nats I did show someone what I was doing and asked if they were correct. They looked at my pictures and said they looked about right. Then when I was in Chicago trying to do another measurement a gentleman...

Same, short of going to a parking garage in Chicago here and there I’m really not worried about size. My Traveler will be the largest vehicle I have ever owned and I can’t wait. Now, if you take off the tire carrier, roof rack, throw a smaller street tire and have it on a regular not off...

That’s a perfect way to describe the Traveler. A 4Runner with a spare on the back. The Terra is a gorgeous truck. I don’t think you could go wrong with either. And they have said 15% of the concepts will change on production. Who knows. The frunk might be bigger and the doors may open...

It always has been! The manufacturers are just coming back around and realizing it. It’s the best car shape.

I think it’s so funny how we become attached to our cars. I say go for it (but then I don’t have to pay for it).

We early adopt in this family. Slept in line to buy the first iPhone, etc etc. usually it’s my husband. This time it’s me. He keep telling me don’t think about it, just do it. I’m a lucky girl.

    Traveler NEEDS the bench seat

Well technically we saw it in the hockey commercial. Maybe the new concept they are building. Oh bench seat and how about no tire carrier and a smaller wheel/tire combo. That might be nice to see. And I just have to throw it out there, PBY might be nice. If not how about mustard yellow or a...

And when we see one without the tire carrier I think that’s going to help with the size perception as well.

I’m going in clear eyed. As long as SM takes care of me it’s fine. Give me a loaner and if worse came to worse we have 3 other cars in this house. Everyone has to make their own calculation as to what they are comfortable with.

I appreciate her feeling and everyone has to buy what works for them. All I will say is what my husband said when I said boy I love it but it sure is wide. His observation was that the hood of the Scout is flat like a table. Whereas my Jeep has different elevations. I measured my Wrangler...
