  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

Lol @J Alynn , I have been following EV "news" and forums for years. I was a Tesla fanboy without ever owning one. I can say with confidence that it's all very different when you experience it first hand. I'm surprised by how often I encounter misinformation fueled by soundbites, tweets...

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

My lifted Toyota 4Runner with AT tires only got 283 miles to a tank (13.5mpg average). I might have gotten down to "E" a couple of times but never ran out of gas on a trip or had a concern regarding range. The first week with my BEV Rivian R1S, all I did was watch the battery gage and how much...

Top Five Accessories For The New Scout

Amazing history you have with this iconic brand. I've been watching EV manufacturers pretty closely over the past ten years or so, but admittedly, I don't even have a fraction of the experience you have with IH. I love the original and restored Scout and Scout II vehicles that I've seen...

How much personalization/modification ability do you want to see in the new Scout?

ALL of it... EVERYTHING. I'd like ONE Scout EV model to be sold and EVERYTHING else to be a la carte. Everything modular/modifiable/ exchangeable. Please see details in this features rant: https://scoutmotors.community.forum/threads/top-five-accessories-for-the-new-scout.361/post-7733

Top Five Accessories For The New Scout

Because it bears the name "Scout" I'm going to assume that Adventure/Offroad capability, toughness and fun should always be a top priority design guidelines, possibly at the expense of comfort, luxury, convenience, and technology for the sake of technology. That means that any vehicle bearing...

    Frunk Focus

A cooler would be nice, but difficult to do effectively. My Rivian frunk is big, but is not well insulated and flanked by dual front motors and climate control fans, so the ambient temp in there ranges between 100-130 degrees or more when I am driving or charging. I don't even like to put...
