  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

The Wrangler is one of a few vehicles that has broke my heart. At 6’8” I am just too damn tall. That’s why I like the new Bronco. It’s better on road, I’d say about 90% as capable as a Wrangler off road (Rubicon vs Sasquatch package) and I fit in them. The biggest unknown with Scout is will it...

Help me decide BEV or EREV

Infrastructure, battery range, and range anxiety are all legit concerns. I’m not convinced that gas is superior to a battery for everyone, but I am convinced gas/gas backup is a better option for me and where I live. I don’t look at it as being hobbled without a gas backup, I look at it as the...

    Rain/fog Lights in the rear

I added something similar to my truck (some call them dust lights or chase lights). Here’s a few daytime pictures (still need some pictures at night). I also added extra backup lights (I’ve been told I have a thing for exterior illumination).

    Center Screen

I have the 12” vehicle screen in my Ram, and you lose a lot of room for physical buttons. Scout did this right with the horizontal screen.

Want a Scout. Don't want the Drama!

My favorite power plant to this day is the Hellcat (in every platform). The sound of the supercharger and the cold start exhaust are intoxicating. That said, a 500 mile range with a Harvester optioned Scout and a little quieter ride for long distance trips has an appeal to it. I’m just excited...

Want a Scout. Don't want the Drama!

As a Dodge/Ram owner with a Scout Traveler Harvester reservation, I’m not sure if I should be proud, offended, or indifferent? 😂

    Initial Production Release

Or - maybe Scout sees what the current demand/requests are, and in order to be successful, they are releasing the Harvester’s first. It’s not like Scout said the first 150,000 vehicles will be Harvester’s, and then maybe we will throw a few EV’s out there.

    Luxury EV

My TI-82 fell off the roof of my Bronco back in college. It was a sad day. I remember having Tetris on it.

    Luxury EV

    I agree - it’s a lot!

    Luxury EV

Take a look at the Ford Raptor steering wheel, that’s cluttered! I like the simple idea of Scout with a mix of touch screen and physical hard buttons. I’d gladly give up my 12” touch screen for a 10” with physical buttons for heated seats and steering wheel. Ford Raptor R interior:

Want a Scout. Don't want the Drama!

The new Charger EV was a terrible vehicle full of electronic glitches when first released. Dodge did a piss poor execution of the EV. It’s not an ugly car (I prefer the outgoing model looks), and the interior is actually pretty nice. Dodge faithful skipped on the new Charger EV because it was a...

Want a Scout. Don't want the Drama!

Admittedly I’d prefer a full on gas motor as well. Maybe something like Ford did with the EcoBoost in the Ranger/Bronco Raptor. Heck, if I was being really picky, a supercharged variant with over 700hp would be sweet. But I digress, Scout has come out with a full on EV and a Hybrid-ish styled...

It worked out so well for Dodge and the new Charger…

    Luxury EV

Yeah - alcantara leather on the dash of an off road truck. Pretty much a dust collector. I will say it feels good on the arm rest and the steering wheel.

    Luxury EV

I like the darker colors because I feel like they show less dirt and wear, especially on seats. However, I could do without piano black trip and everything run through a touchscreen.

    Luxury EV

Comparing photos from the Scout website to a stock TRX picture, I’m not sure how the interior on the Scout doesn’t look luxurious? I’m pretty darn comfortable in my truck, and I’d say Scout is on par with my TRX, or possibly better in certain aspects.

Help me decide BEV or EREV

Mine is usually 10 hours. One of our hunting camps is 650 miles away, and drive time is around 9.5 hours. That’s long enough for one day of driving.

Help me decide BEV or EREV

From day one I’ve been full on Team Harvester (no shock to members who’ve seen my posts). 150ish miles of pure EV range, 500 combined miles, and as per Jamie with Scout the Harvester is “gas and go” for longer trips. Also, the charging infrastructure in my area has a long way to go. And being...
