  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Scout delayed??

This tells me all I need to know. When an author uses terms like “long ass time” and expects to be taken seriously I laugh. This whole article is poorly written by somebody trying to get attention. Try again bud. Maybe write your own stuff, and use less AI! “The Traveler SUV's...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

While on vacation on San Juan Island in Washington I saw this. If I lived here full time, I’d be tempted to switch.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

Most new EV buyers look at two things: - Distance per full charge - Length of time to charge to full I simply want to know if the range is 350 miles, how long to charge when near empty to get back to full power. This is important when looking at longer road trips. If I’m going 500 miles and I...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

500 miles is an optimistic guess in ideal situations. Start going over mountain passes and averaging 70+ mph and I’d guess range drops closer to 400 miles per charge/fill up. Where the Harvester shines is it’s a gas and go setup that can be used as an EV for the shorter daily commute without the...

Help me decide BEV or EREV

I was thinking the same thing. This is where the Ram REV might have an advantage with the Pentastar V6 being in the front. You lose the frunk, but make the cooling system easier.

    Scout Production Number Badge

Ram thought it would be a great idea to put a badge on the center arm rest. When the sun has been hitting this metal plaque for a while, it’s as hot as the surface of the sun, and feels great on the arm. As somebody who has been burned /branded by this brilliant idea, I beg Scout (and other...

    All terrain tires

It’s my understanding that because of the torque and weight of an EV, that tires don’t last as long. I have a buddy of mine that back when I owned my gas powered Ram Power Wagon, he had a 3/4 Ram Diesel that he used for construction. He was never racing off the line, but between the extra...

    All terrain tires

I’ve ran a few different tires over the years, some on HD trucks (2004 Ram 2500 and 2012 Power Wagon) and then some half ton truck usage (2020 Ford Raptor and 2021 Ram TRX). I know this isn’t exactly apples to apples, but the one thing all four trucks had in common was 4wd and heavy (especially...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

That’s how my auto high beams are. I just do it manually. How many of us remember the high beam switch on the floor? That was always a trick if you had a manual transmission.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I like the auto headlights in my Ram, but it also has a control nob that I can manually turn the lights on and off with. Why Chevy buried the light switch for the new Colorado in the touch screen is beyond me. Just because 90% of the time my headlights are on auto, doesn’t mean I want to fight...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Not everyone has drank the Scout Cool-Aide. A lot of the country wonders if Scout can pull off the products they have promised at the price they promise. What does $60,000 get you for a Scout? Are the concepts we see going to be $70,000 or more when the order banks open? What are the actual...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

They weren’t comparing Scout to Buzz as vehicle vs vehicle. They were comparing the anticipation of the Buzz to Scout, and the failed delivery by VW as well as the range of the Buzz.

Is the EREV going to be a flop?

My vote - The Harvester will kick ass. But maybe that’s just me. Oh wait, reservation numbers say different. I”m part of the cool club!

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

As I’ve aged I tend to ignore the news more and more, it makes me cranky (I’m 45 years old and I sound like my 75 year old father…). Anywho, back in October of 2024 I took a leap of faith and threw $100 in a reservation betting that Scout would build something special. If the world falls apart...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I’ll fully admit I’m not the average Scout reservation holder. I drive a gas drinking fire breathing V8, and I love it. Admittedly I wouldn’t consider a Scout without the Harvester package (I’ve probably beat those points to death). I’m excited about a 500ish mile range of an SUV or Truck on 35”...
