  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

Scout Concepts in Seattle, Washington, May 9, 2026

If it wouldn’t have been Mother’s Day Weekend I’d have been tempted to go. Seattle is 500 miles away, but it’s also a quick and easy direct flight. Sometimes a quick weekend getaway feels nice.

That makes sense, and is spooky accurate.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I was on the fence between a Terra and a Traveler Harvester. I’ve accepted that the Terra Harvester won’t be the truck I need. However, a Traveler Harvester will be a good alternative, and more than likely become my wife’s daily driver. This means I’ll keep the TRX for truck duties, and turn the...

5klbs towing cap with gas range extender?

I’m cautiously optimistic with Scout. I just think it would be a disappointment if the Terra Harvester is rated less than 8,000lbs for towing. That said, this seems like an odd response from Scout at this time. It’s almost an encouragement to cancel my reservation and move on to a different...

5klbs towing cap with gas range extender?

The towing limitations of the Terra Harvester have me considering the Ram REV as another option. I’d just like to see Ram offer the REV with a Rebel setup on taller tires. The REV has potential, if Ram can pull it off!

    Off-topic stuff…

A lot of times it’s because the naturally aspirated V8 is much simpler and more reliable than say a twin turbo 6 cylinder. I had the EcoBoost V6 in my Raptor and yeah it had great power, but man the turbos would sing! There are all sorts of issues with that motor if you dig into the interweb...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

You’re 100% correct here. The Terra Harvester needs to be able to tow at least 8,000lbs or it’s kind of a failure.

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

One less person between me and my Harvester reservation…:ROFLMAO: I’m torn between Traveler and Terra. I’ve got a Traveler reserved for now. It could very well end up being the wife’s vehicle. A lot of it comes down to the towing capacity of the Terra Harvester.

The Moment of Pure Electric Joy: Taking Delivery of the New Scout Terra There’s a unique kind of electricity in the air at a vehicle delivery center, but today, at the newly opened Scout Motors Hub in Denver, that feeling was amplified. Scout delayed??

Start Up and Shut Down Sound

I had a 2020 Ford Raptor with the 3.5L EcoPoop motor. Fantastic truck. Comfortable, good fuel economy (for a truck on 35’s), and 500 miles of range. The critical flaw- fake engine noise piped into the cab. It was awful. It was one of the main reasons I got rid of the truck. Dodge has a fake...
