  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Little Rivian R3 competitor. That actually looks really cool with their styling details.

    FB find of the day

Every time I see this dash I just think how much I love the overall design. I'm so over the gigantic center stacks, and overwrought dashboards. Clean, simple, yet still great-looking dashboard. Before Scout showed off the concepts I 100% had been dreaming how a modern take on a 70's truck could...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

Granted, 100 degrees with 90% humidity is now my Stockholm lol

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

Grew up with South Dakota winters, and the Stockholm Syndrome was real until I moved to the Houston area. Never have looked back. A week of 20s-50s is enough for me these days, haha.

I’m one that’s hoping for it. I love having the windows down 90% of the time, so roof open too would be the bees knees to me.

Help me decide BEV or EREV

I would think the service interval would be toward that higher end of 7500/6 months. Which really isn't THAT crazy of a deal. Everyone makes a big deal about the maintenance costs, but if we're talking service 1-3 times a year that's next to nothing, and on an I4 no less. There's still no...

Help me decide BEV or EREV

Which honestly likely wouldn’t be that big of an issue if the computer on-board is keeping track of it. The computer’s onboard many ICE vehicles already keep track of the oil life.

    Center Screen

My 2015 F150 has a decent sized screen in the center. Thing is, it’s night úseles anyhow. It shows music, but this was before CarPlay so it really doesn’t show much else. No líe, I actually would have been totally 100% fine if they didn’t have the center screen in this, I’m so used to my phone...

    Center Screen

The horizontal design of the dash with the bench seat (and Harvester) is what actually sold me. I was thinking not long before the reveal that I really wished designs would go back to more horizontal looking instead of vertical inside and out. Interestingly all the gigantic grills in the last 5...

I mean, yes to be fair I’ve never thought much of Dodge/Ram but you know, definitely an odd difference between the two.

I don’t think I realized the battery difference between the Ram and Scout. 62kWh vs 93kWh, and both do the same range on a full charge. Is the Ram just significantly heavier and that’s why? I would expect all things being similar the Ram would be capable of more like 200 miles on that charge.

Lol, I had totally typed up a response to his little poll only to delete it and move on with my evening. I had already told him when that Jay Leno interview first came out that he was silly to think they would release a full-size truck where it could only tow 5k. Like, in what world is any 1/2...

Yea, but most of those people won’t bother to read anything, or watch more than 3 minute video clips, lol. They’re the type of people who just eat up bad news from any source.
