  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Easy or quick release for rear tire carrier

Beg to differ. I have a Wrangler. Have had for her for 12 years. She fits just fine in the garage and I can open the gate with the spare on it and the glass with the garage door closed no problem. Have never hit a wall or anything next to me for that matter. I think we can all agree...

Scout Warns VW Dealers Fighting Direct Sales That It’s Not Playing Around

Yes exactly. That’s been my plan all along. I’m hoping they have factory pick up and my husband and I will go on a road trip to pick it up. I want nothing to do with a dealership especially the VW dealership in town since they were fined $20 million.

Scout Warns VW Dealers Fighting Direct Sales That It’s Not Playing Around

Thus, I don't want to have to purchase from the VW dealer becuase this is the dealer in town. I intend to purchase DTC.

Scout Warns VW Dealers Fighting Direct Sales That It’s Not Playing Around

It was a dealer group and VW was in the group. The one by us is VW/Audi, Mercedes and Subaru all together, "Bait and switch", requiring payment for addons, etc. https://www.25newsnow.com/2024/12/21/auto-group-running-peoria-mclean-county-dealerships-agree-pay-20m-settle-consumer-fraud-claims/...

Easy or quick release for rear tire carrier

Same. Love the look. Super cool! Have had to use the spare on my Wrangler once and drive 2000 miles on the spare. Getting the spare on the back and planning on using the frunk a lot. Plus it just looks cool as hell.

Scout concepts on Jay Leno’s Garage

I appreciate everyone’s technical discussions. Honestly for me I look at it and just love it. That’s where it starts with me. Every time I see it my heart skips a bit and I tell my husband it’s just so pretty. At this point I’m down to three things. Can I afford it, does it get me where I...

    Windshield stickers

I have a chip in my Wrangler windshield but am not replacing it for that very reason. The jeep logo sticker near the rearview mirror and the little Jeep climbing a mountain in the corner. If I go aftermarket replacement I lose my sticker.

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

I would like the two lower numbers you mentioned but realistically would expect the two higher. I would pay the $2500 if I had to.
