  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Community UX Charging Station Locator Integration

As a current owner of two ICE vehicles who has only rented a few EVs, a concern of mine is locating charging infrastructure when traveling on long trips. It seems like you really need to plan ahead since Level 3 charging stations are still currently limited and signage isn't always great. It's...

Front Seatback & Rear Door Protection

The cargo area appears to be very durable and well protected. Consider offering removeable accessories to protect the front seatbacks and rear door panels when the rear seats are folded flat. This would be great when carrying extra camping gear or cargo. This could be something Scout offers...

    Offroad Navigation Integration for Scouts

I agree - would be great when exploring and accessing remote campsites, etc. I'm a boater and use similar features on the water. Before I do a big trip, especially somewhere I have been before, I like to research and plot everything out on my laptop, develop a route and way points, and then load...

    Frunk Fridge

@J Alynn - are there any photos of the ice bin in the frunk you know of? Would be curious to see how that is insulated and able to drain.

    Frunk Fridge

Thank you for the photo and all the info you brought back from the reveal event!

    Frunk Fridge

I didn't realize there will be a chill box in the arm rest. That is a cool feature. I assume no photos or dimensions of it yet?

    Frunk Fridge

Consider incorporating electrical hookups and mounting/tie down points in the frunk for a small refrigerator. I know Dometic offers several models. It would be nice to grab a cold beverage after a hike or paddle without having to deal with a cooler or ice...

    Roof racks with cabana roof

I agree - wouldn't put bikes up there, but would really like a rack for skis in the winter and kayaks in the summer. The one they are now showing for CES is cool, but would also like to see other available options. Something removeable would be nice so you could fully enjoy the cabana roof...

    Pet or dog mode

I believe they now show this in the latest video on the interior design.

Two-Tone Color Options, Classic Colors, and Graphics

That's what I was thinking as well - could always easily be accomplished with a wrap.

Two-Tone Color Options, Classic Colors, and Graphics

I'm no photoshop wiz so figured I'd give credit where credit is due ;)

Here's what I am thinking. Credit to Admin @ ScoutEVForum for developing!

    Wheel Options

Thanks and good point! I guess I would revise to just say "give options for customization and don't tie them all to packages". It seems like these days you get a standard wheel and then one option which ends up tied to a few thousand dollar package. Would be nice if there was more than one...

    Wheel Options

Offer multiple wheel and tire options in various styles and sizes. Consider offering classic steel and chrome wheel options. Do not tie wheel and tire choices to specific trims and packages, allowing buyers the ability to further customize how they want the vehicle to look.

    Larger Mirrors

Increase the size of the mirrors. Look a bit small based on the size and boxiness of the vehicles and would help with towing.

Easily Replaceable Body and Undercarriage Protection

Incorporate undercarriage skid plates which are easy to replace by the owner if damaged and the option for rock rails for side body protection. While front and rear bumpers will likely contain lights and sensors, make the bumpers easy to replace by the owner if damaged without requiring...

Two-Tone Color Options, Classic Colors, and Graphics

For the Traveler, offer two tone color options similar to how the Scout II looked with the removable roof. The windshield frame should be the same color as the hood/most of the body. The roof, top half of the rear quarter panels, and top half of the liftgate should all be a contrasting color...
