  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Competitive Warranty

I think that a good warranty is a must for scout motors. Here are some warranties from competitors: F150 Lightning: 3 yr/36,000 miles basic 5 yr/60,000 miles powertrain 8 yr/100,000 miles battery Hummer EV: 3 yr/36,000 miles basic 5 yr/60,0000 miles powertrain Rivian: 5 yr/60,000 miles basic 8...

Hummer EV Breaks - This CANNOT Happen to the Scout

Please make the warranty good for this very reason.

    Stowable Hard Top

The Hummer EV stores the panels in the frunk, and every review I have watched on that removal process gives it high marks. The unlatching of GM's system, and stacking capabilities in that frunk make the Hummer EV seem entirely topless in about 5 minutes.

    2 Door

If a two-door option is in the mix in the future as batteries develop, it would be cool to have the 4-door option be called the scout traveler. I am assuming the 4-door scout wheelbase would be competitive with the 4-door bronco (which is 116" wheelbase, the original travelers had a 118"...

    Factory Upgrades

If heated accessories, tow package, and roof racks are free then that gets me excited. Nonetheless I think this post is effective in perhaps finding what options could be standard. As you said, a towing package may be offered as standard per your previous conversations, and it already has 7/9...

    Trim Levels

I definitely think there should be a scout for every buyer. As you say, as long as the frame and dynamics are configurable enough to offer something for the base buyer, luxury buyer, crawler, etc. as the broncos and wranglers do, this will be great. I just wanted to add to this with my own...

    ICE Box

Just posted this to Harris005's frunk focus forum, but had to create it's own as I was interested in what people thought and I was proud of this idea! Put the spare tire in the Frunk (Per J Alynn's recommendation, even have it slide out with a drop-down grill, per his original post). But also...

    Frunk Focus

J Alynn had the idea of putting the spare tire in there and I think that is a very cool idea. He also mentioned the grill dropping down so it could slide out, also a cool idea (as long as it fits 35s;)). I think it would also be cool to have the jack in there, maybe a small air compressor (even...

    Rims and Tires

I think the base should be 20" rims, 31" tires. Then a few options in between, up to 17" rims and 35" tires. Range-focused people can get the smaller rotating mass, off-roaders or people that just want to ride higher can deal with the shorter range and get the 35s. Very similar to Ford's bronco...

    No Spare Tire on Tailgate!

I agree it has to compete with the full-size bronco. I like the frunk idea, with a jack and air compressor option as accessories in there too. Could be such a cool area to pop open and slide out in-case-of-emergency when on the trails. In my original post I was comparing those options for their...

    No Spare Tire on Tailgate!

A slide out rack in the frunk? That is a pretty good idea, and would be cool to see as standard with the option for the carrier. I just wonder about those 35's, if they would fit. But I think a slide-out with a drop-down grill is a super cool idea, could have the jack in there and maybe even an...

    No Spare Tire on Tailgate!

Yes I would like to be able to haul things too, and the bed area of a scout is too valuable. But tire mounted beneath would be far too inconvenient for people using the scout as an off-road vehicle, which will be a lot of the market. Plus, a battery pack beneath the car, with a 12.5-inch wide...

What do you want in an off-road spec

I plan to do a lot of offroading. Whether that be hill-climbs at my local ORV park, or in Moab with my dad and his bronco, or hunting eastern Washington September-December. Here are things I would like to see (Numbers 1-5 are really a must-have). 35" Tire option (Cooper Discoverer STT Pro??)...

    Bed Area

The roll-down option for the rear window would be nice, but would be hard to accomplish with the angle that the scout roofs have unless the glass was made of a flexible material. I think 35" tires will be an option, if they are going to make this competitive. I want a true tailgate, like the...

    Factory Upgrades

Yeah I wanted to do a lot more options, I did not realize there was a limit to how many options you could post. I was going to add everyone's ideas too, so this post wasn't as content-rich as I had hoped. Plaid cloth seats is an awesome idea, same with the heated steering wheel!

    Factory Upgrades

Okay I am wondering what people would add to their scout from the factory. Assuming they do not do trim levels and you can just add whatever you want. Obviously I do not know pricing, but I will show pricing ranges as follows: $ = 0-$500 $$ = $500-$1000 $$$ = $1000-$1500 $$$$ = $1500-$2000...

    Proportions/Wheelbase

I agree with that. But not Bronco Sport size, or Jeep Cherokee size. Small as possible that will fit 35's, and actually be capable off-road. Too small and the capabilities are really limited to just simple trail driving.

    Supply Chain Chess

    Love that last line.

    No Spare Tire on Tailgate!

I agree with everything you just said Cinder. Interior space is too valuable, below compromises ground clearance. If the new scout is anything like the old ones, fold down the back seats and throw the bikes back there. A spare tire is too valuable to not have as an option. Again, maybe the spare...

    Proportions/Wheelbase

It is hard to tell how big it may be or how small based on the teasers that have been released. Four things I think are important to consider when looking at the size and scale: 1: Wheelbase - the original Scouts (and new 2-door broncos) had 100" , the original Scout Travelers (and new 4-door...
