  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

Yes, this feeds live info and data about your driving style into ABRP making it more accurate from what I understand. I am still in the early stages of using it. Example of setup: Real world example of OBDII to ABRP:

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

I bought this OBD2 reader as recommended for use with the Ioniq 5 to support navigation with ABRP as a vast improvement over the Hyundai onboard navigation.

    Vintage Scout Commercials/Ads

I might be willing to donate my copy that I got with my Scout. I posted this in another thread... https://community.scoutmotors.com/threads/what-song-will-you-play-first-in-your-new-scout.2228/post-25354

Scout Concepts in Scottsdale, Arizona, April 25, 2026

(y)Count me in! 🤙 I'll be shooting for Sunday just for a chance to see the Traveler (my first reservation). But later I also reserved the Terra...just in case. Wouldn't it be great not to have to choose, but to have both! Hope to see you there!

    Scout delayed??

Not only dealerships, but around my small city there are so many businesses supported by ICE vehicles... gas stations, auto parts stores, oil change shops, muffler shops, radiator shops, transmission shops. And larger manufacturers...Borg-Warner, US Engine Valve. There are some that will...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I had forgotten about that. You could put slight pressure on the gearshift and "feel" when the gears "synced up".

Factory Pick Up - Cost and what does it include?

If you plan to do a factory pick up and then travel North to Northwest, consider spend some time or spending the night at one of our local campgrounds. For example...

Same. I'm about 2 hours away from the plant and have asked before when they are going to come home. They did have an event in Blythewood a while back, but I couldn't make it to that one. Hopefully, they'll come back soon. While in SC, they need to also educate the citizens about the outdated...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Us old timers definitely remember the switch on the floor. Of course, my manual 4-speed 79 Scout has it. Driving at night, it keeps your feet busy. I think I actually preferred it on the floor.

The Ioniq 9 is especially nice. We test drove an Ioniq 9 and my wife would have taken that as her daily driver had she not had less than 2000 miles on her current vehicle. I'm sure she has the fever for a BEV now. I'm glad I made an extra Scout reservation a while back. ;)

2026 Ioniq 5 XRT. It's kinda their "off-road SUV". Having a Scout, I would say it's neither an off-road nor a SUV, but it's still a fun little vehicle with lots of features and roomy interior for its size.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I wanted to wait out my new vehicle purchase for the Scout Traveler BEV, however I had several factors that influenced me to purchasing a new ride. 1. My daily driver was getting 13-15 MPG (2001 Toyota Sequoia) 2. Daily driver - 2001 Toyota Sequoia (4.7L) with about 200K miles good for...

    Re-think Headlight Design

I couldn't tell you how many times people asked me if I still had my "Bronco"... It felt insulting. I have nothing against Bronco, but confusing the Scout with the Bronco is something I hope doesn't come back. I think Ford did a great job with the appearance on the new Bronco but let the Bronco...

    Re-think Headlight Design

Round headlights was probably one of my first posts in this forum. I think it was @J Alynn that replied explaining that this was the evolved Scout not a retro design but in keeping with the Scout heritage. After that sunk in and just admiring the design as a whole, I completely think Scout...

So is it the same Terra poster as shown previously or does it highlight the Traveler?

    A Gift From Scout Motors

Same. From the previous comments, we're expecting a Traveler poster as well? So has anyone that ordered just the Traveler received a poster of any kind?
