  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Terra Concept in Irmo, South Carolina April 19, 2026

@Jamie@ScoutMotors are you going to make it to this show in Irmo?

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

Yep, exactly. That's as far as my thought process took it.

...and what color would that be??? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

What would be genius is if the receptacle on the Scout would "self-adapt" as you are plugging in the connector.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I simply don't care to haggle and get frustrated with the dealership tactics. I can see your point if you are skilled at bargaining a great deal but I get hostile in that environment. I don't want to think that the person that purchased an identical vehicle just ahead of me got theirs for...

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

Hopefully Scout is listening. Another minor reason for the front is that I carry my charging adapters in the frunk. Just for the convenience and due to my laziness, it would be nice if all charging activities were in one place. Now when I go on longer trips, I just put the adapter I think I will...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I think that would work just as well for no cost and utilize AI to help with negotiating unless you are good at that anyway. The only difference is that they wouldn't have your contact info if you used an AI or real purchasing agent. But I think we all agree that direct from manufacturer is the...

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

Thanks for the explanation. My Ioniq 5 charge port is on the passenger rear corner so potentially an issue too. It would certainly be more convenient almost any other corner in my opinion. Not sure if there was a reason Hyundai positioned it there. Maybe I'll try T-brand just to be aware.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I used an AI agent to buy my Ioniq 5. The dealership was not aware. The AI agent only operated through texts and email (my personal info wasn't given until the final settlement). The AI could work totally independent (not recommended), but it would let you modify responses before sending to the...

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

I've never used T-brand (only had EV a few weeks). Help me understand. Couldn't you pull between into an unused space? Or is it that you think the T drivers would shame you? I was considering going to a T-brand in Columbia for the Scout shows just to experience and learn. Last trip to Columbia...

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

Just in case... I don't know if you're actually planning this drive, but it appears you are coming into Columbia on I-20. There is a SuperCharger in Lexington, SC just as you approach Columbia here that may not show on any navigation apps that you're using...

    Home Charger Reviews and FAQs

To cover yourself in the contract, please specify that the service is specifically for EV charging. Simply a 60 Amp service is not good enough. It must be specified as "continuous load" for EV charging and the National Electric Code requirements are different for a standard 60 Amp service vs 60...

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

I'm finding that the words aren't that helpful for me. I prefer to know the power output of the EVSE in kilowatts. @SpaceEVDriver has several posts that are very helpful for learning about this subject.

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

"Faith and patience" is the word on this forum. If reading about Scout outside of this forum makes you anxious, I would suggest you stop looking outside. I find the best information is right here. From the progress I see at the plant, it hasn't slowed down, so only Scout should be concerned...

It would be hard to top the reveal. It looked like fun.

BTW... where is @LastDayScout ? Isn't he from the Charleston area? That's about the same distance in the opposite direction from me to Columbia. Maybe he'll show.

How about a no name avatar badge... Unless someone changed their avatar recently, I know most on the forum that frequent the threads.

Scout Concepts in Blythewood, South Carolina, April 20, 2026

The Traveler is going to be living up to it's name. I'm not sure where the concepts were after the LA show, but @CP1@scoutmotors said the Traveler would be on the road from California to SC and likely would not make the Columbia shows on Saturday and Sunday (April 18 and 19), but would be at...

Scout Concepts in Blythewood, South Carolina, April 20, 2026

Retired, but finding that there's not as much free time as I expected. I feel like I actually have less free time. I guess maybe I have more choices to fill my free time + 9 grandkids to visit.
