  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Scout Concepts are coming home April 18-20, 2026

This one is easy: 43 minutes :ROFLMAO: (using the timestamps on some of my photos) There were about 8 demonstration stations and each about 5 minutes long (OK someone is doing the math already and that is only 40 minutes...but we did have travel time between stations and some wait periods...

Scout Concepts are coming home April 18-20, 2026

The short answer (my best guess): 50 That's difficult to determine. They had several support teams for the event. The event was not only for showing the concepts but a community outreach for promoting employment for the plant. Scout Motors has partnered with Midlands Tech...

Scout Concepts in Scottsdale, Arizona, April 25, 2026

I would really like to see the concepts again in Scottsdale. Let's see, it's only 1925 mile drive (27 hours). Pretty much a straight shot. Totally worth it!

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

I never would have guessed that you, of all the members of the forum, had done this.

My best guess is the taller building in the background is the Paint Shop.

Scout Concepts are coming home April 18-20, 2026

Here's another looking toward the plant from where the large "Scout" sign was in front of the Training Center. This gives some perspective of how far the plant is away from the Training Center. The previous pictures I posted were zoomed in quite a bit. Other folks probably have some better...

Scout Concepts are coming home April 18-20, 2026

Yes I could see massive building in the distance, but they were at a higher elevation and difficult to see. I wanted to use the overhead plan views provided by Scout along with my photos from the Training Center to orient where I was yesterday, but I haven't done that yet. I'll post some photos...

OK, I'll give it a go with this method...one question at a time.

Scout Concepts in Blythewood, South Carolina, April 20, 2026

Welcome to the community. You're from Greenville? Not far from my home. I wished we could have met at the event. It is obvious you are a skilled photographer. Thanks for sharing.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

Has anyone ever rented an RV campsite, just for the sake of charging? Meaning no charging stations in the area. It would seem there could be some opportunities to emergency charge at some pretty remote spots.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

Exactly. I used an Electrify America station on the previous trip. It only had 4 spots and I got the last one, but 2 more freed up rather quickly (much quicker than the Costco gas lines for sure). The charge rate was 177 kw (CCS adapter) vs the Tesla station rate 127 kw (slower, no adapter). The...

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

Yes...I did. It wasn't very far, about 150 miles. One of my sons lives in Lexington, SC just west of Columbia so I had done that trip once before.

Only in conversation. I hate reading/writing actually. English composition was my worst subject in school and college. I tolerate reading technical literature (Electrical Engineer by degree) but conveying my thoughts in writing...nah. ;)

Scout Concepts are coming home April 18-20, 2026

@Jamie@ScoutMotors if you have a way of thanking the Scout leaders, employees and other support teams, these events this past weekend could not have been a better experience, especially from a Scout OG like myself. It was simply a dream of mine. I wish everyone on this forum could have...

Scout Concepts are coming home April 18-20, 2026

I asked if the production models would have their charge ports in the same location as the concepts (rear driver side) and the answer was "Yes". I also asked if the Traveler would get a 240V outlet. The answer was that 240V output on either was confirmed...:eek:

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

Yes, mine is the 2026 XRT. I removed the Thule Crossbars on top to see if I noticed any significant improvement in range and also to determine if it was quieter. I couldn't tell a significant range loss, but there was likely some. I do think it was a lot quieter though. Maybe something to...
