  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Automatic Retractable Electric Running Boards

Shorter people like my wife at 5'2" would love this. She has trouble getting in my Bronco with 35's so I had to buy a step/running board.

    Community events?

Besides car shows be nice at some point if Scout just visited city with a traveling demo like Rivian did way back.

    Electrochromatic Panoramic Sunroof?

There are 3 top options with hard top being the other. I'd expect that to be standard, as they said the 2 demo's were fairly well equipped.

    Sound suppression

If you driven Jeeps or Broncos with fiberglass/plastic tops I'd expect this to be MUCH quieter. My wife's #1 complaint on bronco is too much noise to listen to music while driving.

Scout Motors announces in-vehicle satellite connectivity and highlights Scout Community UX interface at CES 2025

I thought I heard a 33" tire can fit under the back floor like a Tahoe or Chevy truck? The 2 prototypes both have 35's so i was wondering if the Truck even has a spare on prototype?

    Frunk features

I'd prefer a large digital gauge for old person's eye's.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Yeap, I won't buy a vehicle without a HUD now either.

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

Pretty sure it will suffer comparing to other EV's. TFL has a video up talking about failure of other EV's range extenders.

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

I just comment on the red X's I want: Auto headlights is a MUST for me (have in all 3 cars ATM) Allow option for full leather and headed to shoulder (My raptor heats at shoulder and my bad back likes it) Before Scout I was looking at Vehicles with SuperCruise or BlueCruise or similar setup...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

My Ford Raptor gets over 600 and I want more. but it has a 36 gallon tank so big gas bills.

    3 Years

I heard late 27 as well. I was thinking Nov/Dec and all recent cars have had multiple delays so I would not be surprised if it slips into 28.

    Range and Competitiveness

There needs to be more pull thru chargers for EV's too be good for charging. Removing the trailer is just a deal killer.
  13. ohvrider

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

Exactly which is why i need the range extender or 500+ mile of pure EV range.

    Terra - Roof Top Option

I saw a video where said they will have solid roof option.

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

Yea but reason to live in Utah is to 4wheel and its easier to take a 5 gallon can then a generator and 5 gallon for it. :) When Wife goes to Vegas I plan to 4x4 on way back. :)

    Questions about the Harvester

I think Scout will have to bump both numbers up as in 3 years when it ships the competition will bump those numbers a lot if they want to stay in business. This market is moving fast and currently too many players so just like PC market in 90's some will fall behind. I'd expect EV range to go...

    QR Code Stickers For Repairs

I think most new cars had Manual build into Nav and you can down load from manufactures web site in PDF to put on phone or tablet.

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

Once we get more details can Scout make an official in-depth video to cover all the questions and anwsers we've asked on here. Probably be nice to have a whole series of those types of videos for all aspects of Scout.

Manual Control of 4x4 system instead of silly GOAT like modes

They could offer a My Mod like new Raptor that allows you have have your very own mode. I didn't think I'd like them but it's great for Wife or someone else driving my car when I'm say in the side side or on a bike and they can't ask me what to do.

    3 Years

Since the Scout's are expected to ship late 2027, we have a full 3 years almost til we see one. In the EV world 3 years is like 10 years for ICE cars, so goals of today will be obsolete by then. Some things I'd expect to move a lot in 3 years: Range Average EV's are 280 to 300 now, so 350...
