  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Honestly, the roads down here are a bit of both. You very quickly go from asphalt to broken road to off road style trail. It looked good and the proportions were just right. Also, I just need to add that it is an absolute tragedy that we do not get the Suzuki Jimny SUV nor the Hyundai Staria van.

TVR is/was pretty cool. Some or maybe all of them had a tube steel frame.

I’m down in Costa Rica this week with family for spring break. I saw a vehicle I’d never seen or heard of. Of course it’s Chinese. The BAIC BJ40. But, this one looks pretty good in person. Of course they are knocking off the Wrangler unlimited. Nevertheless, something different...

    Off-topic stuff…

I knew it was to get rid of debris and put nutrients back in the soil. But, here’s the full answer. Thanks Gemini. Fields are burned before planting (often called "controlled" or "prescribed" burning) primarily to remove excessive crop residue (stalks, straw), which allows for faster, more...

This is the crap that makes it difficult in the tractor business. Not so much construction equipment. But, people come in on edge and defensive already with us because their only dealer experience has been at car dealerships. We operate very differently and our pricing structure is way different.

    Key Fob question

While I daily drive an EV with all the modern conveniences, I also enjoy my 1987 Jeep Comanche. It is amazing what all is automated these days. In the Jeep there is no key fob, the locks are completely manual, the windows are manual, the headlights are manual, the wipers are manual, no cruise...

Help me decide BEV or EREV

Possibly. There are plenty of vehicles and machines that do not have front mounted radiators. That said, I hope it is a robust and simple solution for those that want or need the Harvester. I'm happy my choice is BEV.

The tire carrier is optional. I 100% agree with you. I do not offroad and do not want it the day to day hassle. But, it does look cool.

    Scout Color Poll #1

My parents have one from Switzerland as well. I was just there in January and was told by locals that it is unusual for them to be sold as those bells are somewhat considered heirlooms. My father told me he bought it from the farmer right off the cow. Knowing him that may be somewhere between...

I’m not sure. There’s a lot of businesses out there that want that configuration.

I am pretty sure it would be in a sub menu and not intrusive.

I read this this morning. Nothing like a good purge and reset. This mass event will go a long way toward getting EVs in more consumer's hands. Overall, it will be a good thing. @SpaceEVDriver did a chart a few days ago of when cars met and overmatched horses per capita. I wonder what the...

It is not terrible. I can sort of see through the concept stuff to the core product and it will probably be pretty good. With as fast as the Koreans bring vehicles to production this may be out before Scout.
