  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Rethink Steering Wheel Design?

In general I like the design of the wheel, I could see wanting the top round but would have to judge that when I feel it. Definitely like the horizontal 2-spoke aesthetic and vote for keeping the bottom flat either way for thick thigh clearance and backing up a trailer.

Do You Want Your Scout To Have A Hands-Free Driving System?

If it is an add-on/package/subscription I would pass. I'm sure if I gave it a shot there are aspects I'd enjoy but no where near the top of my priority list so it isn't worth extra $$ IMO

    Audio System Brand Poll 2.0

Never been attached to a specific brand but the Harmon Kardon in our Subaru is also pretty bomb, definitely exceeded my expectations.

    Audio System Brand Poll 2.0

Totally agree with this, at this price point a good sounding system needs to be included IMO. I like to tinker and I'm sure custom builds would be even better, but I'll focus on other parts to the truck to mess with ;)

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

Don't believe it was mentioned or I missed it, but I would add a rear cargo storage solution (i.e drawers, cubbies, slide outs, etc) to the list. I'd consider one directly from Scout if it were well designed and integrated to the vehicle. Although there is a large aftermarket supply they...

    Bench Seat vs Standard

I'm intrigued to see how the bench comes out because it has some appeal but I'm assuming we'll end up getting the captains seats. The only butt that would ever be in the middle of the bench would be our dog which would be fun, but I have a hard time imagining the bench being equal in the way of...

Range extender - please adjust spec to 250 miles of EV Range

I find it interesting that there is a fairly even mix of people who want more and those who would be happy with 150mi. I personally would be happier with 150mi than more. Getting 250-300 pure electric so I can complete a whole drive in "EV only mode" isn't my priority and would come with some...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Also would add haptic vibration in the steering wheel for lane departure or other warnings. I drove a BMW X3 that had this and initially I thought it was going to be terrible but it was amazing, I raved about it the whole trip, less things beeping and yelling but I could clearly feel it...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

After the CES show I was digging the style of the roof rack on the Traveler, integrated satellite is pretty sweet for us full remote folks. However, please make it able to hack a roof top tent with an awesome static capacity (hoping for 700-800lbs+) Dynamic is fine at the 165, lots of tents...

    Scout Color Poll #1

Also wanted to add the specific for White & Silver matter! There are good ones and boring ones for sure. I would love a pearl white (I.e Eminent Pearl from Lexus) as well as a WARM silver, almost champagne-y (Sterling Grey from Chevy) Also, if you could just steal Nori Green for a dark green...

Scout Motors announces in-vehicle satellite connectivity and highlights Scout Community UX interface at CES 2025

Just wanted to send some praise on the in-cabin experience from a fellow UX designer, the demos I’m seeing from the event really have me excited to see more! The physical design looks 10/10 and I’m so glad that the driving experience seems to be as well. In particular, thank you for focusing on...
