  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Home charging setup costs

A small fortune for me - I've got quotes from $1200-$2000 to run the wires (garage is on the opposite side of the house as the panel), and this is for a circuit appropriate to plug into anybrand charger - so that's not too bad. But, my 1991 house has a 100amp panel that is maxed out - so a new...

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

Agreed, the more @SpaceEVDriver posts, the more I learn - thanks for the effort. Driving from the Denver area to Fairplay tomorrow in the snow, and will be topping off the gas tank before I go in case of delays, 4wd use, etc.. Based on your posts I am thinking I would do the same with my future...

FJ Cruiser filled the need for 51 years of missing Scout

I feel you - my dad bought a '77 SSII brand new (and being my frugal dad of course ordered it with the 4 cylinder tractor engine) BUT that's the car I learned to drive in, the car I drove to high school - until the alternator held on with bailing wire and rust killed it, and the car I still...

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

Agreed - I voted sparingly (Paint Protection Film, Frunk Fridge, Rock Sliders, Roof Rack) because while it would be awesome to get great accessories for all the things on the list directly from SM, based on other brands on the market the aftermarket companies will likely come out with great options

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

For what it's worth, after nearly 30 years together and multiple vehicles, the Infiniti QX30 fit both of us better than any other vehicle we've ever tried. Wasn't super easy for me to get in, but once in I didn't need to put the seat all the way back, and without question the most comfortable...

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

I love it - your brain is where I think mine is going to go; I do the same thing prior to a vehicle purchase, (or any purchase, vacation planning, etc..) but once the decision is made I rarely remember to think about it again. I don't worry about TCO, but size is a big factor (I'm 6', my wife...

    Lessons Learned on Range Anxiety

As a non EV owner (yet) this has for the most part been a very useful thread - thanks to everybody for sharing their real world experiences. I think as technology and society advances "range anxiety" will go down just like "solar anxiety". Here's what I mean by that: I live in Colorado, and...

    Where are EV chargers needed

On that note, I've been seeing more and more fast charger lots at ski areas in Colorado over the past couple of years. That gives me hope, but since I'm in Colorado and 200 mile plus drives aren't unusual, I'm stll planning on the Harvester option. Would be great to drive from Denver to the...

Entry Model Specs, Premium Model Price?

I feel like the same process happened with Grenadier - I was an early reservation holder (as I am with Scout, I reserved one of each and will decide when the time is right). My early Grenadier was expected to be about $60k, but when you could finally spec them out, one the way I wanted was...
