  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

With reasonable driving (not accelerating or braking too hard and cruising at speed limits or occasionally going about 5 under) in my Bolt I can get 310 from 80%. EPA was 246 from 100%

    Scout Gift "Unboxed"

Your thank-you card is orange? Is that a Traveler thing? Mine's a deep Blue... so are they supposed to match the debut colors shown on the website?

I would say to watch GM, if they make a Tahoe\Yukon EV they might hit those ranges

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

This winter we're planning to take my car out there and see how "stressful it really is in an EV other than added time because the bolts slower charging speeds and smaller battery I don't think it'll be all that bad, but I also just enjoy chewing miles

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

Personal real example. We have a Volt. When I had the charger, I was a little jealous that my partner only got gas once at that time because we left the lot with half a tank of gas, and they wanted to top it off, meanwhile, I was going out of my way every few nights to get gas, so once they said...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Realistically, I think they fully intend to produce both variants at the same time. Reservations aren't guarantees, but even if all reservations converted were not locked in on our power choice until we place the order, any of them can change either way, so I think scout might aim to do more...

I agree! All Electric Terra should hit the streets first 😁

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

It just feels like scout forgets about us BEV Res holders, but maybe that’s because they know we’re all in and don’t need more convincing 😁 But it absolutely feels like scout press is really only interested in talking EREV and just mentioning the BEV to keep it in the cycle, even the...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

If we’re being honest their focus should be on making vehicles, reservations aren’t sales, they have zero stake as we can retract our money at any time. And when they start batching orders some people might jump ship if they decided they rather BEV at order time and get told “sorry we’re not...

Is there anything SM could offer to get you to switch from EREV to BEV?

My issue is slate is it’s gimmick. But the New Bolt is close in price , better range, and you get screens, and convince items, so all the cost cutting for slate is getting you what exactly? A frunk? A a BYO truck? If the range was on par with the bolt for all the cost cutting I could get behind...

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

I just wish they would call more attention to the BEV I feel like I’ve beaten my view point to the brink, but some BEV representation on the news and interviews would ease a lot of tension about BEV pushbacks, but I also dont think that’s going to be an issue

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I had a long discussion with a carmax sales lady and my parents today about this, because I took my Father to finally get a newer vehicle and I didn’t realize gas price concerns as I never touch the stuff, besides giving the occasional $20 to friend for driving sometimes

Is the EREV going to be a flop?

To be fair I don’t think it’s quit cut and dry, some chargers are buggy, until someone called EA one of my regular chargers was accidentally free for 5 months, sometimes there’s discounts if you have a membership, on a road trip you may lodge and get to l1-2 overnight skipping the mass fees, and...

Is the EREV going to be a flop?

Given the amount of people that aren’t educated in EVs, reserving for the brand, that will just gas and go with ever charging because they think L1 is to complicated (Like PHEV owners) and that Reservations are promised purchases. I doubt most of those reservation holders understand that it’s...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I don’t see BEV being that far from launch unless scout is willing to send out orders and tell those that have changed their mind to BEV they’ll have to circle back later, all because they didn’t update their reservation, realistically were probably talking a split build based on the active...

    Scout delayed??

I thinks it’s a good possibility as long as the factory is running by the end of 27

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I feel like this, sum a lot things decently. When Scouts come back was announced it was as EV company, being an EV company makes it easier for them to follow through on the DTC model, and while there is definitely a place for an EREV in an adventure vehicle in the majority of interviews where...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

This is also the thing that doesn’t make a lot of sense to me given the wording it’s fair and easy to assume that they will batch people together based on what they have currently reserved being traveler first along with harvester models however nobody has to lock in on anything until scout...
