  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Off-topic stuff…

Hello! I have a rather off topic question. I’m looking for a reasonable opinion so I can help my mom make a decision. We have a 2001 F-150 Lariat 4x4, with a 5.4 Triton V8, it’s nearing 300k miles but the rear diff is giving up on it. During the snow I was taking somebody to work when it...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

From what I’ve seen I can agree, I think it was the video where they took the LFP R1S to carmax to sell and the lights were cutting around there other car on the road ahead while not shining directly on it, I thought something looked on and then they turned and the lights shifted with the car...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Is that the “matrix” headlamps? I’ve seen it action in an out of spec video and it looks awesome, but haven’t experienced them myself, as Amazons Rivian fleet had normal auto high beams

Headlight & DRL Color Temperature Changed?

It would also add a little more personality to each scout if the owner can adjust it, but IF they built them so we can change the ambient exterior temperature I could also seeing it being a Gen1 feature

How much more would you pay for a Launch Edition Scout

I think it will depend on how they actually do the orders, but while its clear the Traveler will be first off the line, depending on how they convert real orders, it’s likely scout will be at full intention to run both Harvester and BEV off the line to fulfill orders. Unless scout takes our...

Headlight & DRL Color Temperature Changed?

Warmer and cooler temperatures settings in the facia lights would be nice

How much more would you pay for a Launch Edition Scout

The model will be the traveler, the power train can be swapped and scout will have to be able to support them during the first wave because they can’t guarantee that EREV reservations will stay that way at final purchase

    Scout Color Poll #1

It’s a really good question given that they are launching two models and four vehicles and they will be releasing over a span of time. It will be interesting to see how Scout decides to go about launch auditions and all reservations turned purchases.

There’s obviously a lot of variation by vehicle some of the ones I’ve seen with it in the screen. It’s always on the side of the screen next to the driver’s steering wheel so readily accessible you tap it once and the menu opens and then you choose off on an auto. Though as far as finicky...

    Off-topic stuff…

I pay for a Walmart plus subscription and I give the gas codes out to friends and family when they need them and right now they’ve been very useful. I don’t care much for gas stations to begin with. They’re often disgusting so when we need gas, we either go to Walmart and get the $.10 off or we...

    Off-topic stuff…

A friend of mine asked me to drive them to the airport this week and said if I did, I could use their car for doing my rounds afterwards since it’s cheaper to drive my car to the airport, but I guess they forgot the gas prices because they were surprised when I told them how much it would cost...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I don’t care if physical or digital, I’ll rarely touch it, but I do like rivians approach with it on a stalk, makes it more accessible for that need it

https://community.scoutmotors.com/threads/cyure-goes-to-chicago-12-10-2025.7391/post-63969 At least based on what we can see in the concepts I’ve not seen a light controller, but obviously the concepts aren’t final, I don’t even think they actually have wiper blades

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Auto headlights and auto high beams are two different controls, and when the guys at TFL complain it’s not because it’s some sort of necessity, it’s just to complain (at least for the one guy that did a lot of Silverado EV coverage) I don’t think a physical controller for headlights is a...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I don’t think it’s necessary so I’m hoping on Gen1 it’s either fully optional (as a purchase item on the order) or bypass-able in software having spent plenty of time in Rivian I Prefer to get in my vehicle be on, or wake up when I approach with the key and start the air/heat and initiate once I...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

The guys over at TFL like to complain, though we all do in our own ways and on specific things, the guys at TFL love, older cars and trucks. Which is why it’s frustrating to hear them complain about the removal of switches and buttons that aren’t necessary like in the Silverado EV it does not...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

I’ve noticed they like to try and complain a lot so they will complain about something as small as the headlight controls being digital or the vehicle not turning off because there’s no power button not considering that the majority of people will leave their headlights on automatic and never...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

Yep, but dealers don't tend to consider anything more than the money. I had a friend who worked at a Ford dealer for a little while and the way that they wanted to treat their customers was getting so immoral he had to quit and as a possible buyer, it gets really annoying when you want something...

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

This is also a big reason why I don't want to consider a new GM vehicle because there's no guarantee I can order what I want. I have to go to a dealership, ask them to order what I want and then they'll sell it to me after it arrives

Actual delay official and order of deliveries confirmed?

There's no denying that dealerships do things that they can charge extra for. However, dealers also will buy vehicles they think will sell that don't cost extra money. That's why they don't hold a lot of vibrantly colored vehicles on the lot even though the manufacturers sell them because people...
