  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Yeah, but looking at them they seem to be part of the bumper, however that might be because they’re concepts

Have the tow hooks been talked about? Do we know if they are part of the bumpers or are they mounted to the vehicle?

    tonneau cover standard?

I'm hopeful for a tonneau cover, and honestly, I'd love for it to be easily removable. On my Silverado years ago, I had a tonneau/toolbox combo where it rolled into the box and was very versatile, but I was stuck with the box. If Scout could make something similar, that would be perfect, hard...

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

It's almost the wrong time of year for a hoodie here, but I know exactly what you mean. I had to have it.

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

The way I see it, other than the expense I'm not losing much, some of that money is hopefully going to scouts profit/production but if it was a non refundable option to solidify my place in line I’d happily do that instead. But I’ve found wearing scout merch gets others to ask questions on the...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Many leaders in places refuse to believe in climate change, or just simply understand that air pollution ruins everyone’s health. I know a few years ago the utility commission lead in Alabama wanted to ban “eco-libs” so they couldn’t have any say in anything as the believed in climate science...

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

I went back and bought the bandana because my friend is a bad influence so now I’m over 300 thanks to shipping fees 🤷

Is it even an EREV at that point, sounds more like a long range hybrid

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

It might be more niche but a nice feature on most of my goodies is a small sturdy zipper pocket on the sleeve, and since it how I carry my current fob I’m not sure how often I’ll wear the VRT hoodie, but I can’t wait to have it regardless

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

I’ve been waiting for a nice hat to drop, before buying anything else but so I just bought most of the new collection along the vintage ad T and a key chain. I didn’t need to spend that much, but I’ve held off on merch for awhile, other than the beanie and patch

March 2026 Scout Production Center Update

it’s great to see a lack of comments questioning a 300 mile range on BEV 😜 but in all seriousness it’s great to see this progress moving so fast if only my savings could grow this quickly 😁

There goes almost $300 But I need that hat and decided to buy some extra things

    Higher Range

The one thing I’ll say about GMs price is that with Ultium (or whatever it’s called now) it’s supposed to be capable of having cells replaced if they fail instead of the entire battery, wether that’s true or not or if it adds value I can’t really say

    Key Fob question

I used to have my keys like that, and my buddy only has a fob but 12+ Keychains, when I got the charger with its push button start, I moved my keys to multi key holder that acts like a Swiss knife, and I keep those in my Everyday Cary bag that mostly stay under the false floor in my truck and...

    Key Fob question

I’ve been mentioning a software bypass foe bit now, I just hope it’s been thought of by the design and engineering teams to actually happen or that they’ve seen it mentioned on feedback. There’s nothing more annoying than having to relearn a pointless step. It is harder to forget that a ICEV is...

    Higher Range

The Silverado is also 8k+ lbs and isn’t allowed in some areas off-road or pavement because of it

How much more would you pay for a Launch Edition Scout

The thing they should do is offer a “loaded” launch model to first round reservation holders (meaning all reservation holder get the option 1 time or you wait for a second or third round for something more specific you want like a color) that would be very well optioned but offered at a price as...

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

Though Scout is in a good position to help educate people about actual EV ownership, it's really feeling like they won't and just talk around the EV (given most interviews to date), hopefully Scout will offer a decent incentive for those with Harvester to trade for BEV if they find Range Anxiety...

    FB find of the day

That front facia goes hard. Though the iH is a bit much, and the AI made it seem more like an ICEV, something similar in design would be awesome to see down the road from Scout, after they find footing as a new brand with a limited run "Heritage" lineup and a two door with a "sports top"

EV reservation holders, would you consider the Harvester

I feel you, while I hoped the the EREV was an additional 150 I was expecting 250 each, but my daily miles get 130-230 miles a day and while 500 miles would be great for occasional trips, like driving my scout home from the factory, or to visit friends in SC a couple of drives a year just isn’t...
