  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

It looks like toddlers toy more than real vehicle concept, but I can’t put my finger on why it’s making me feel that way

I’m just hoping for 3 hour radius of Nashville, I’m not in the situation to reasonably road trip my bolt just to see the concepts, I might be swayed for around 5 hours if we’re talking a driveable model, but that’s probably mid-late 2027

Some of them are just that cheap, we broke 1 in our Nitro not sure how we did it but we couldn’t close the vent anymore just up and down And in a Taurus the the entire control bit broke off, no unwarranted pressure, just casual use, vents can be way too cheap, especially when they’re big

Probably, though it could just as equally have to do with them being concepts, and not a "final product" otherwise I sure scout get a full size truck (de-badged or taped over, like many commercials do) just for the visual. Because in media it looks smaller maybe a midsize Tacoma or Rivian...

Honestly though. Scout should do something like that for a small photo session, because everyone thinks the Terra is small just from looking at the media of it

    Scout Production Number Badge

Perhaps it's of my mind. The first thing I kind of think of would be ingrained so engraved into the wood if you get the wood – or stamped in the leather so it's not something that's going to be too eye-catching, but if you're looking for it, you'll see it. It could be something as simple as just...

    Scout Production Number Badge

If I'm not mistaken, Chevy did something similar with the first edition. Silverado EVS the armrest is a terrible place for a plaque of any sort, plastic or metal. If scout does something in the glove box where it's knowable to you, you can show it to people is a good place or ingrained into the...

    Scout Production Number Badge

I certainly think it would be cool. If all reservation holders that convert get something to signify it something that will forever be part of the vehicle would be awesome though. I also wouldn’t mind a small model version of the vehicle. Because I’m sure wants hot wheels or matchbox starts...

The weather here can’t make a choice it was 80 yesterday and 30 today so there’s a very slight chance I might get to wear it when it arrives

    R2 Launch Watch

I do think a lot of it falls to the interface the UI design because of my car I need CarPlay so it’s nice to have a button that immediately takes me to the UI for my air-conditioning settings that are not physical, but I would rather not have to completely exit my navigation screen for that I...

The Chevy Bolt that I drive has the majority of its HVAC controls as physical toggles, but also in the screen with one dedicated button that will always take you to the Climate screen. I tend to leave mine in auto but then change heat in AC to manual so I choose not the car and set my...

Rivian used shapes, scout could use farm or nature shapes. Or could do some old style scout rims to show off the colors. We could spitball ideas for how to show them off all day, but the issue is when will scout actually announce the Gen1 colors

It’s certainly a style, I like the clasp on the back, the tag is interesting, but overall not a big fan personally. Glad the racing SnapBack came first, but if scout releases a nice hat with some “style” I won’t be able to help myself

    R2 Launch Watch

I keep getting those emails (demo and lease an R1), if I could lease an R1 for my current car payment with 0 down and know it would end by the time I’m purchasing my Terra I would. For as much as I like Chevrolet and my car imparticularl I’m beyond over them, the digital experience (since it...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

The cabana top seems like a very reasonable middle ground, and who knows if it will make it to the Terra, but on the other hand the Terra has 5 rolling windows so.. fair trade?

What If the Harvester Shed 1,000 lbs and Got Better? The Case for LTO + EA211-ERV

Let's be fair here. Tesla only started selling cars in 2008, with cars from 2012 that have over 400k+ miles on the original battery and motors. We can't say a Tesla won't last 30 years when they haven't existed that long. Many people will stand by their Tesla, I think, until the recent refresh...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

When I first saw that video based on the title and thumbnail I was hoping for something more involved with the service guy showing so of the process and exactly what the “batteries” look like, so it’s harder to imagine going solely off the spoken story

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

If I'm not mistaken the Rivian has 2 12V, but I'm not sure it they're just normal batteries or something more "specialized" based on the wording in that video

The thing about a visualizer that I want to know is, will it be based on the current concepts or a more finalized production design. It’s probably still too early for getting that kind of information though
