  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Scout delayed??

So attempting to put this into perspective, scout has nearly 200,000 reservations (a fairly significant number will not convert to orders) around 80% of that number are for the traveler. Realistically speaking the only way that you can propose dates like that is assuming that every reservation...

    Brake pedal behavior: Preference?

It varies for sure, I’m not often bothered by the switch as much, when I drive the Buick or one of my dads trucks I find myself driving mostly the same, I start lifting off the accelerator early but once I register the lack of deceleration I start trying to reach for the regen on demand paddle...

    Scout Supply Merchandise Live

Got the bandanna today, not sure what I had planned to do with it, but I have it

    Front Trunk Bench Seat

If I’m not mistaken, I believe it has been stated somewhere that that pullout tray can work as a bench. However, I also remember specifically that it has been mentioned. It’s not guaranteed to make it to production because the front end might get a design change where there would be a lip in the...

Poll: Would you use a Scout configurator tool if pricing and details are not finalized yet?

Well, like I said, I’m not trying to take what was said too far out of context, but I think the general sentiment is that at the very least once preproduction vehicles are being shown at events they will be more ready for the public to interact with even if we can’t necessarily test drive them...

Scout Concepts in Scottsdale, Arizona, April 25, 2026

These are multimillion dollar hand built concepts most concept vehicles can’t even move under their own power. So expecting them to be as sturdy as a production vehicle when the company in question doesn’t even have a plant built yet is a very far reach. Concepts are meant to give the idea for...

Poll: Would you use a Scout configurator tool if pricing and details are not finalized yet?

Not to put words in Jamie’s mouth, but I did ask if the “pre-production” trucks will be able to be test drove, and it was more less a yes. Which makes me very excited for the day the concepts get retired

    Off-topic stuff…

April 22 is earth day, a good day to show off EVs, but! In a lot of media earth is often referred to as Terra, making the 22nd Terra day 😁 scout is now required to show something awesome of the Terra. You’re welcome! It’s also my birthday and the only reason I had this shower thought

    Off-topic stuff…

We used to live in a hollow, when bad weather kicked up we lost satellite and barely got radio, we had a landline with internet but it couldn’t keep up with the live weather streams. So we watched the sky for color changes. Probably 10 years ago or so when North Alabama was hit hard with...

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

No doubt, but if you see it can go past the screen saying zero, or if you know the range estimator is close to accurate it can remove some anxiety and that’s just one small step closer to never really feeling it again. I’ve brought my car home on 0% the issue in Chevy is it stops giving me range...

    Key Fob question

But this can open it’s own can of worms, because unless people experience a car without the start/stop button they’ll think it’s just the typical way, they still to need experience it to understand it’s not necessary. Personally I think it would be better to yank that band-aid now on current EVs...

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

You could always look up your car with out of spec reviews and see if they’ve range tested it, they usually run them dead for that exact reaso

    Key Fob question

If we can tell the vehicle to pretend it's not there from the software I'll be fine, better if we can option it on the order sheet

    Scout delayed??

This reminds me, not exactly the same vein, but isn't there a guy that made a sports car, but believes ownership of cars won't be a thing in few years, and people will just borrow a car when they need it. I assume that anticipates the car can be ordered and "deliver" itself

    Reservation order

Scout could use a dominos type tracker so we know what’s happening with our orders

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Completely agree, is scout ends up a dealers, I'll look for a used Silverado or jump straight to Rivian, dealerships can kick rocks, especially with how they've treated us here

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

Some dealers have it in the contracts you sign that they're required to remove those stickers if you ask, but a heat gun (or a hot day) and a soft scraper (or credit card) they tend to come right off
