  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

How much personalization/modification ability do you want to see in the new Scout?

Yeah I agree with the whole vegan leather thing. It’s way less sustainable than real leather and the vinyl stuff is just cheaply made.

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

So this might be a bit too late, but the cabana top will be available on the Terra at release.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

Yeah I want an internal combustion engine, the harvester would be that either way?

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

I think the engine below the trunk is a good idea, but it would honestly be way cooler if they just put it in the frunk area and had a slightly bigger engine than just a three cylinder, and that way, the extra space below the trunk could be used for a bigger gas tank, which could extend the...

    Dimensions

Yeah I saw the ev hummer in a showcase and it didn’t look too big. I really don’t think parking will be that much of an issue. I’m all for the size!

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

You will need this if you have the harvester.
  7. Lowengaard

What kind of tech do you expect enabled in the car or interface?

Yeah keep it simple at least for the base trim. No weird stuff like lane departure or self driving. On higher trims levels you can add the fancy tech stuff, but keep the base model simple.

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

These are definitely must have features on the Terra.
  9. Lowengaard

How much personalization/modification ability do you want to see in the new Scout?

Scout should just start with a base package that has the standard four wheel drive and air suspension. The exterior needs to have all of the paint colors available, and there should be multiple removable parts and mounting points for things like new fenders, bumpers, cattle guards and winches...

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

I wouldn’t do the brake for start thing, just use a regular button. No way of accidentally turning the car on with just a button.

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

Totally agree with the extended bed.

    Ideas for Scout Engineers

A lot of these should just be package upgrades, such as the heated seats, auto high-low beams, and rain sensing wipers. But the flex fuel capability, tailgate load capacity, a drain plug for the trunk, and 4 pin towing connections should be standard features.

    Audio system

A CD player would be so nice, a single would be great but a six track would be perfect in these.

    UWB Digital Key

I feel like having a smartphone key is a good idea, but a physical fob is still a must. Sometimes I don’t want to have my phone with me when I’m driving and I would much rather just use a real fob.

    Lockable Safe

Yeah a safe under the drivers seat in the Terra would be a great option.

    Factory Spray On Bedliner

Definitely should make a package for spray-on bedliner and a gooseneck hitch. Also, I a 6 foot or 6.5 inch bed should be an option.

Love bench seat, but it needs to fold down.

Totally agree, fold down bench with cupholders is the way to go.
