  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

What are you driving until release?

2024 VW Atlas SEL Line R --> Luv It! 2025 Audi Q7 Prestige --> Luv It! Yea - just refreshed the ole Stable - looking to add the Traveler Harvester as my off roader and third addition, granted there are two in our household.

    Where are EV chargers needed

Ugh - did not know that. As were all aware VW owns Charge America - fingers crossed they adapt the TESLA standard as an option for Scout owners too!

How will the scouts handle the extreme cold?

The downside is the resistive heater uses valuable battery juice, where the Harvester can provide a little charge to the battery while warming the battery and interior - win win!

How will the scouts handle the extreme cold?

Another reason to have the "Harvester" range extender. My Cayenne S had a small gas heater that would warm up the engine and interior that could be set to a timer like an alarm clock. Granted 2009, imagine the same where the Harvester would warm up the cabin and the battery on uber cold days -...

    Where are EV chargers needed

Are not the Superchargers being reprogremed to accept other brands such as Ford, GMC, VW and perhaps Scout?

    Diesel Range Extender option please.

NO TO DIESEL for the range extender... Diesel fuel will go bad if left sitting in the tank, it grows mold, and gels in the cold often requiring additives - Gas Please & Thank You!

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

I think if stationary the onboard generator can recharge the battery if drained, but as an extender I doubt if the generator can move the vehicle once battery fully drained. I feel the Ram charger with that big V6 may be able to achieve this - perhaps something like a non turbo boxster 4 will...

Poll- What have you Reserved... Let's get a small idea of the take rates.

Speculation Alert - possible Harvester Engine Choices

? Speculation Alert! ? As we eagerly await more details on the new Scout, there’s plenty of buzz around potential engine configurations. Kicking off this thread with two likely contenders for powering this rugged compact’s battery pack: 1️⃣ Three-Cylinder from the VW Parts Bin: With VW’s...
