We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

    Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

    How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

    Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy.     Additional to donut labs’ claim… BYD is also claiming to have 2 new batteries coming. One is a Sodium Ion and the other was solid state as well. I believe the Sodium Ion version was going to be mass produced this year.

    Would like to see a cabana top on the Terra A scout app for all car functions that could be used in place of a key fob retractable tonneau cover

    Terra Harvester Blue/gray or black (satin finish) 35” on air suspension Cabana top Tonneau Cover Prefer a modern/neutral interior color (dislike the hemp wood) Rubber floor mats (would prefer no carpet, and all rubber floors) center console (no bench)

    Concern about the complexity and cost of repairs/maintenance for EREV

    unpopular opinion..... should the EREV be cheaper than the BEV? The battery pack in EV's are probably the most expensive part of the vehicle, so one could think that a smaller battery pack in a EREV would be cheaper than the pure BEV. Now I'm sure due to all the added parts needed to integrate...

    It was indeed RomR at the CES show that hinted at the cabana top for the Terra. Said its TBD but seemed like Scout employees want to do it, and later mentions that it seems like it will be an option.

    I rewatched the out of spec video and the cabana top mention was not from him… it may have been Romr, but I will continue to try and hunt down the video in which it was mentioned.

    Big thing for me is a cabana top on the Terra, and a big problem I’ve had in so so many vehicles is they need better lighting for back up cameras.

    I would LOVE the cabana top on the Terra. With the roll down rear window, would be similar to the open air feeling of a jeep wrangler, but in a full size truck!!!
