  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Scout Swag

As a Chevy truck guy, their Chevy Legends program is on point. I signed myself up and periodically have gotten playing cards, coasters, a baseball hat, a coffee mug, and a collection of stickers for the truck. 200,000 mile club and "__ Chevy Trucks Owned". And it's completely free. When we...

No worries! The insight is good.

Hummer EV Breaks - This CANNOT Happen to the Scout

I think it's through compartmentalization. I beleive a lot of the problems is that everything is essentially run through 1-3 computers, each essential to the overall function of the rig. I'd rather have the propulsion system separate, then the HVAC and infotainment separated and have their own...

    EV focused suggestions

To be fair... all the EVs out there are complicated. But it WOULD be refreshing to have a bare bones model. I can literally hear the TFL boys just in the cockpit going, "This thing has manual windows. Manual seats. No steering wheel controls. It has no frills or gimmicks... And I love it. It...

Hummer EV Breaks - This CANNOT Happen to the Scout

You can see in the vid it's supposed to. "Reduced acceleration"... naw dawg. There was zero acceleration.

App / Touchscreen Interaction and Ideas

We spoke about this earlier, in that Polaris has it's Ride Command app. Something like this for Scout/Jeep/Bronco/off-roading in general would be amazing.

Hummer EV Breaks - This CANNOT Happen to the Scout

The video surprises me. It's breaking all the time. That's a QA issue.

What do you want in an off-road spec

17"s. Look at the cost of tires and 17s are the cheaper option. Plus the added benefit of more sidewall to squish at 12psi...

Hummer EV Breaks - This CANNOT Happen to the Scout

While I don't generally like TFL(I won't go into why unless asked), this video came up. This needs to be on Scout Motors' radar, because this is the ultimate cautionary tale. THIS will not only turn people off of EVs, but this ABSOLUTELY will sour people from EVER buying a GM EV. People are...

App / Touchscreen Interaction and Ideas

I've had two JLs, and Jeep has the hard top thing down pat. There are alignment pins already. Yes there are bolts, but every Wrangler comes with a tool kit. All the designed to be removed components share either a T40 or T50 bolt. These tool kits have a ratchet and the bits. It's easy and...

    Color Wishlist

We had our beloved Bikini Pearl JLUR, Kailani I, and then when the Tuscadero came out we took that opportunity to reset miles and tires, get some added features, and get a fresh look. The 4xe was a bonus(and because at that time I couldn't get it with JUST the 2.0T). But when it came time to...

I as well. Though honestly, we've learned with our Jeeps that the hard tops: Are more expensive if buying after taking delivery. Soft tops you can buy on marketplace fairly well/easily. If you don't order the rig WITH the hard top, things like rear wiper control, rear washer fluid, and rear...
