  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

How much personalization/modification ability do you want to see in the new Scout?

The interior would be nice to modify the different screens beyond just the themes. It's really annoying to have a Tuscadero Jeep and then see a white jeep on the screen when we're doing things. Seriously. How hard is it to match the on screen vehicle to what was ordered? The exterior: Bumpers...

    Too Quiet

Then move faster! You mean it's not done right NOW?! Obviously, I kid. While it has been quiet we know and have faith in you and @Chris@ScoutMotors . You've been amazing thus far.

Why do you like to go off-road?

What have you been riding in since then?

Why do you like to go off-road?

I'm not exactly sure what started me on it, but I'm going back through my memories trying to figure it out. I did a lot of trail-riding on horseback as a kid, whipping through the Idaho pines. Then my parents bought the '98 Yamaha Grizzly I'm trying to keep alive to this day- yup. That was it...

    ELI5(Explain like I'm 5): Electricity

I get confused when it comes to all the terms involving electricity. Examples: Watt - This is how much a device uses? Amps - This is how much force is behind the Volts coming from a source? Volts - This is how much power is coming out of something? Amp hours? I try looking it up and I get...

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

@J Alynn , such a great idea. Oh man this gets me about as excited as seeing our Scout get built. @Chris@ScoutMotors or @Jamie@ScoutMotors , do we need to submit resumes for something like this or what? :)

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I actually like it, for what it is. Jeepers are, quite honestly, by and large brand loyal assholes. Especially the Wrangler lovers. And ESPECIALLY the 2-door lovers. Nothing will please them.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

If they do... huge mistake. People are fickle, especially so now in this day and age. GM isn't risking, they're going to lose customers and money. And after the fiasco they put themselves in in the mid-00s you'd have thought they'd have learned... smh.

I know you can go into a phone, or the picture program on your computer, and resize them for memory purposes. That usually works for me.

    Idea: Cradle to Delivery

Dude, it seems like so much of this could be automated. I picture it like a marathon or Spartan Race. Like, within the factory, at each station is a camera. Each rig has a VIN, so when they come through, pictures are tagged with 123456789 VIN. Then they get uploaded and the owner can literally...

    Scout Design Ideas

I like the mockups, and obviously this being America you can do whatever you'd like, but it just seems like ADDING doors to a Traveler is WAY more work that making a Travelall top removable. I also get that if you have the '77 Traveler, well that's a huge thing. You HAVE the vehicle already. I...

Yikes. There's a reason I assumed it was converted... a frunk is an expectation with an BEV in my mind.
