  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Should Scout adopt the NACS (Tesla) charging system

I agree. Smack dab in the middle.

Scout EV - Door Inspiration (Compilation)

I LOVE to have the doors off on the Jeep. Love it. But then again, with the Traveler I hope to get, I'm the type that would rock top off, doors off from May to November. I'd wear boots/jeans/jackets/beanie then flip flops/t-shirts/ballcaps then back to boots/jeans/jackets/beanie. For the true...

Should Scout adopt the NACS (Tesla) charging system

The plug should be at the front. Period. On our 4xe we have it by the A pillar on the driver's side, and even then it can be a pain in the dick.

    Plug Type

This issue is that I have a J1772 at home already. IF it'd invested in a Level 2, wired in unit, suddenly with NACS it's a huge asspain. Which is a moot point based on that intel...

Scout EV - Door Inspiration (Compilation)

Of course it is. But you can understand some of the frustration, and I'm not even an admin looking for feedback, in a new person coming on and blowing up the forum with multiple threads of things that have been/still are being discussed daily. Like for the SSII there's much door discussion...

Scout EV - Door Inspiration (Compilation)

Much of your ideas are/have already been discussed. If you search for them you can contribute your input and ideas with everyone else, cheers.

Scout EV - Plug-n-Play interface (Infotainment Idea)

Sorry, but what is all this? Your post doesn't make a ton of sense to me.

LED Lighting for the New Scout EV Vehicle

They must have heated lens'. Must. We were coming home and got caught in a blizzard. Visibility zero... until someone finally passed our 15 mph ass. "Whoa! I can see!" I pulled over and the stock LED headlights of our 2021 4xe weren't melting the snow and were completely blocked. We cruised...

    Smoke-capable cabin air filter

    100% agree.

    Cabin heat soak prevention

I can tell you in the summers of southern Idaho, a fan running will only make the oven a convection oven. :)

Scout EV - OS Feature - Driver Incapacitated/Medical Emergency Protocol

I understand your want for this, but I wouldn't want all this extra bloat.

Is there or should we create a Scout wave?

Supposedly the Jeep Wave started after WWII, when GIs would get a Jeep for civilian use. But it was primarily the old vets that liked them, bought them and drove them. So when they saw each other they gave themselves not only a wave, but the "V" for victory. That's always the story I've been told.

Top Five Accessories For The New Scout

2023 Grand Wagoneer Now I'd like to see the passenger DO more. Almost like a rally car/Baja navigator. But then it also comes to mind to be able to adjust tire pressures, lockers, power output and drivetrain in general. Let me focus on my line and driving, and IF they want, the co-pilot can...

Scratch built RC Scout 800 video

Do you know if there's a Traveler body for RC?

So what does everyone think of the first new Scout designs...

That's the key. Jeep is synonomous for fun. It's just is. And when you ride in one, with the top down and doors off, that's the experience. It's just, plain, fun. Scout can invigorate the EV market by being this. Fun. To hell with everyone else. Let them see us not giving a shit what they're...

Top Five Accessories For The New Scout

I love so many of the ideas already presented, so I'm going to do like I'm shopping for cologne and sniff a coffee bag first... A plethora of bumpers and rock rails/steps. Sunshades for when the top is down. Cargo containment system. Trailer cam integration into dash display(I plan on towing...

Is there or should we create a Scout wave?

And the Bronco wave is all in response to the Jeep wave. No bullshit, that's a thing. And you should see the envy Cherokees, Compasses, Renegades have for the Wrangler folks... Then the Bronco came back out and they started doing the "Bronco wave" like they invented it. And then they started...
