  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

To all those people who "must have" physical buttons. Are you happy now?! You can literally have a fidget toy in your vehicle :ROFLMAO:

If Hyundai built this Jeep and Bronco would take a serious hit. Amazing looking concept, and given how much Hyundai is willing to push eccentric design there is a chance of it having a strong resemblance. Either that or it will come out looking like a VehiCROSS type of thing. :ROFLMAO: P.S...

    R2 Launch Watch

OOO did an interview with RJ regarding this, and judging from the data Rivian collected the vast majority of owners (I'm one of them) home charge.

    R2 Launch Watch

I'm really excited to see R2 again I saw it two years ago in Atlanta and it was roped off. But even more excited I'm going to go see the Scouts first in a couple of weeks in SC and then R2 in May, so I hopefully that will give me all the information I need to decide what my next step will be. I...

Ok I like the sound of this much better than just entirely "buying third party" so to speak. Surely with as early as they partnered with Rivian and with the new inclusion of Rivian's own chip SM can fully tailor it to their needs. As a current Rivian owner, this is quite a comforting feeling...

Interesting. With a Rivian and VW partnership already in place I would think maybe a high capacity battery out of the EDV would be a potential fit for the Scout wheelbase.

Scout Concepts in Scottsdale, Arizona, April 25, 2026

This has turned into a "if you give a mouse a cookie" moment for @CP1@scoutmotors :ROFLMAO:

Speaking of guilty by association lol, my last 4 vehicles have been Gray, Silver, Gray, and Black. I think SM has a unique opportunity and is expected by the customer base to really offer some great colors and graphics options that I for one definitely plan to take advantage of.

    R2 Launch Watch

Great news I RSVP'd to my local Rivian event and this is the email response I got! It looks like at the R2 viewing events people WILL be able to get inside and tinker, and not only that but they're going to have several at the locations in different colors. Looking forward to this!

I cannot wait to see R2 again in person! I went 2 years ago and it was completely roped off, I really hope we get access to it this time and HOPEFULLY can drive it soon too.

    R2 Launch Watch

I guess for me I am part of the abnorm. I rarely ever go into my UI for any of those adjustments and if I do I just double pull on the gear selector, go into self drive and then its twice as safe because now you have 3 pairs of eyes on the road instead of just one. I pretty much never use the...

The strength of your opinion is very interesting. I would be curious to hear what your use and length of experience of the aforementioned UI's and how do you find the ergonomics and UI to be so bad?

Ummm....I don't even know where to begin with this. Like literally, I don't know if I should push or pull, or twist or a combination of all that at once. Wow!

    R2 Launch Watch

Valid reasoning. But I think as usual Tesla, (and soon with Rivian Assistant) once again has the best solution and that's just tell the car what you want and it will do it. One thing that has been made perfectly clear is SM definitely could not build their vehicles and satisfy the entirety of...

    My Scout Travels

Welcome to the community! This is the type of story SM loves and what will make the next vehicles from Scout just as loved as the originals were.

    R2 Launch Watch

I understand there are people that prefer to have buttons still to each their own. However, saying that the UX in the R2 is going backwards compared to the Mustang is like saying you prefer a BlackBerry over an iPhone 17 Pro lol! R2 has some of the most advanced UX when it comes out. One thing...

No manual vent adjustment. You still have to go through the infotainment. However, you can control temp and fan speed from the steering wheel in R2.

    R2 Launch Watch

As I have mentioned previously I currently own a R1T as well and have a reservation on the R2. I was going to actually switch to a R2 while I wait on the Scout, but from SXSW there was mention of Gen 3 R1's breaking cover by EOY. Undoubtedly they are going to have most if not all the goodies...

What is one feature you hope Scout will include that has not yet been shown?

Understandable, I have a glass roof and wish I could open it lol! I think for all us considering it though, the main concerns are safety, leakage, and maintenance with the cabana top.
