  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    We are Scout Motors.

    Scout Swag

    :ROFLMAO: Beauty, eh!

    Marketing Idea

That would be cool! There was also an 800B features in Rodney Atkins' "Going Through Hell" music video. And then there's always the classic "International Harvester" by Craig Morgan (although not about our Scouts).

Let's recreate this image in 2024!

I'm sure many of you saw this or a similar image on Facebook around Thanksgiving time. We should recreate something like it for the 2024 (or 2025) Macy's Day parade as the official launch of the new Scout! And I humbly offer #tuff66 to be part of the procession! ?

Are there ways to be involved?

Thanks! I haven't seen too many commercials, but here's a couple more: Scout 80 Scout 800

It closes but not great. I've tinkered with it off and on, but no true fix yet. So many variables and adjustments to factor in. My next attempt will be to add some shims to the driver's side body mounts. I think the body may be sagging a little.

Are there ways to be involved?

I agree, man. (disclaimer: self-promotion) That's one of the reasons I created www.Scout80800s.com. I wanted some Scout-specific stuff and, at the time, there wasn't much out there. I had a few ideas and figured I'd throw them out there (yes, it's licensed). Pretty basic stuff really, but just...

    What Are You Driving Now?

My first car, which was (is) a Scout! Try not to drive it much during the winter or rain. That's when resort back to our 2014 4Runner.

That was the first "project" on the newly acquired Scout. And it plaques me to this day. But these are the things that stories are made of.

My first "car" - Tuff 66

I've had this Scout since 1979. It was my first vehicle, bought in high school from a farmer who couldn't read or write and never believed we sent man to the moon ("Just a Hollywood stunt", he said). Came with a Meyers plow. I plowed snow with it during my college years. It's been painted a few...
