  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Approximate Charge Time

There are also three major, multi-billion dollar, battery recycling facilities under construction in SC. Whether or not they will work with Scout remains to be seen, but anything is possible.

Scout Motors announces in-vehicle satellite connectivity and highlights Scout Community UX interface at CES 2025

So, I looked at every picture I have and I cannot find the valve stem. No doubt there is one, but I cannot see it in the pictures. ??‍♂️

    Approximate Charge Time

180 is a really big and heavy battery. You may be right but I hope it’s smaller and the package is just more efficient to reach the stated range goal.

Road Trip in a VW Buzz: Success or Train Wreck

I’m not sure. I think it’s because other parts of the world had already agreed to a different standard. But, someone else may know 100%.

    CLOSED! Audio System Brand Poll

It was just a list of several brands that people had been talking about. I am not certain, but I think most if not all have been in the automotive sound sector at one point or another. But, feel free to add or express opinions as Scout definitely reads the forum. ?

Road Trip in a VW Buzz: Success or Train Wreck

Having had and used both, the NACS is a superior option. For me, it’s simplicity and size are better than CCS.

    No regenerative braking!!!!!!!

You are either missing my point or I suck at articulating ideas and statements. I am sure you agree it's the latter. EVs generally have a more aggressive regen setting than hybrids. There may be a hybrid that facilitates one pedal driving, but I am not aware of one. However, an EV can stop...

    Harvester Talk: Q&A

But, it does help with charging efficiency.

    Camper Shell

I would add that it would be nice to have aftermarket (but approved) accessories be in the order screen. That way they can be added to the purchase. For those utilizing financing, the accessories can be added to the payment.

    Camp mode

The prototypes do not have hitches and the production bumpers are likely to be different so they can include the hitch.

    No regenerative braking!!!!!!!

Very different in a hybrid vs. a full EV. The EV regen braking can fully stop the vehicle.

US Dealer Slaps $20,000 Markup On VW ID. Buzz

I too live in SC. I am a former Tesla owner. The first one I had was delivered. The second one I had to pick up in Savannah as Tesla deemed that I was close enough to go get it. I do think that Scout will be allowed to do direct sales and delivery. Surprisingly to me, the governor is all...
