  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Future Model: Scout Sport- Smaller, and more efficient, but still capable.

Yes, many tractors still have this feature on the rear axle. Kubota also has what is called Bi Speed turn for the front axle. "Kubota Bi-Speed Turn" is a feature on certain Kubota tractors that allows the front wheels to automatically turn significantly faster when the steering wheel is...

Yes, it is small. I have had a Samurai and currently have a TJ. The LJ would be a decent compromise and have enough "extra" space for the modern safety necessities. If they can get the proposed smaller version down to that footprint, or that of a largish UTV, Scout will have an offroad winner.

Stupid practice. Pollution is so cool!!!

Sweepstakes - Scout Motors and Scout Boats Collaboration

I could be wrong as this is second hand, but I heard that Scout Boats is not happy about another Scout name in the market. But, I like the idea. The factories are about 1:15 apart.

If that thing is Suzuki Jimny sized, there might just be a market for it.

Most Improbable or Impossible Scout Motors Special Edition?

It was discussed after the TM filings were released. Probably about a year ago if I remember correctly. Nothing is certain, but many members immediately grabbed on to the idea and agreed that name works for a performance model.

Most Improbable or Impossible Scout Motors Special Edition?

I disagree on number 2. I really do think that Reaper is the TM they applied for to use on performance models.

Most Improbable or Impossible Scout Motors Special Edition?

Way different times. That is a complicated and divisive subject. I am a native born Charlestonian, and I would not be so inclined to as to drive such a vehicle.

We own EVs. Ask Us Anything.

I had some of that behavior when I had a Tesla. I do not so much now in the BMW, but probably because the uninformed aggressors do not know it is an EV. Terrible and unnecessary.

    Spare tire discussion

Interesting. I learned something new here. I guess it’s been drilled in my head with sure grip/posi traction differentials and AWD vehicles. I always knew you could get away with it on a driven axle but not a drive axle…at least not for long. Anyway, good to know!

    Spare tire discussion

I’m pretty sure that the diameter of temporary spares is the same as the standard tire the vehicle comes with. Otherwise you could have rotational differences and cause gear binding. But, the width can be narrower which doesn’t potentially harm the vehicle.

Tesla Owners - Your software feature recommendations for Scout vehicles

I miss being able to change the temperature from the app. BMW doesn’t do that. It will precondition only to whatever the last setting was when you left the car.

    Spare tire discussion

They need to be the same diameter. They can be much narrower though.

CR New Car Brands Reliability / Scout Projected Reliability?

My previous 2 and current EV have had zero EV related issues. Only issues have been any vehicle issues like cracked glass.

    Spare tire discussion

I know the tire will be heavy, but maybe on the roof. I wouldn't want one there everyday though.
