  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Arizona - Sonora Desert Scouts

My thoughts exactly. I have had spring and summer experiences in a Tesla Model Y and the roof shade needed to be in 100% of the time because of the heat in the frequent sunshine. Seemed pointless to even have the glass roof “feature” since it was always covered. Obviously if you don’t live in...

    Well Placed Ads

We all know that well placed ads can be quite effective and from my perspective it appears Scout Motors may be making some good choices. Up to this point I have not come across a Scout ad without deliberately seeking it out on my own. However, this morning I was reading an article about the...

Spare tire carrier - other locations?

I agree. I’ve never heard of it, but the thought popped into my mind due to the discussion. I wouldn’t have come up with any concerns with an interior mount on my own, but this thread got me thinking about collisions and if there’s a concern with a frunk mounted spare coming through the...

    Accessories Poll For Scouts

I completely agree. After having Jeep all-weather mats, I was definitely shocked at how thin Ford made the Bronco version. I suppose they still work, but they’re thin enough that they don’t always stay conformed to the curves they were intended to hug. I’d vote for a Scout version to be able...

    Welcome and Introductions!

Glad to have you here Joey - welcome! Sorry to hear you had to wait so long for the Bronco. I’ve heard sooo many Bronco stories like that. I’m looking forward to a smoother launch from Scout Motors.

Spare tire carrier - other locations?

I got to thinking…a rear cargo area mounted spare tire would be in danger of breaking loose and becoming a missile during a front-end collision as well, no? The only difference being it’s coming at the back of your head and it’s already inside the vehicle. Would just need to make sure that cargo...

What 16 Metro's Will Scout Launch?

Sounds like one heck of a good time to me!!

    Off-Road EV

Yeah I believe the RTI ramps have usually been in the 15 to 30 degree range throughout the years depending on vehicles being tested, with Car and Driver using a 20 degree ramp to test stock vehicles. 32 degrees is a pretty aggressive ramp for sure.

    Off-Road EV

Absolutely, yes! I completely agree. I’ve followed their testing for many vehicles in the past and that is definitely one of the particular tests I key in on the most.

    Things to Avoid

Absolutely, I can relate to all of these as well. This is a very good list.

Off Road Camper Van - "Teepee"

I’m definitely down to see what Scout Motors could come up with in this space! Yes!!!

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

Thank you for sharing these stats, this is all very interesting and helpful. (y)(y)

What's it like to take a road trip in a truck like the Terra (F-150 Lightning)?

I’m in for this one, thanks for sharing! I love road trips. I also very much enjoy the adaptive cruise on my current vehicle, so I have to ask: Does your Lightning have adaptive cruise? If so, do you use it and do you like it (does it function/behave well)?

    Non-Scientific Science

These guys have fun videos and I thought some of you here might get something out of this particular one. There’s not really any actual science going on and it’s all lighthearted fun, but for me there were a few takeaways and I even learned a couple of things.
