  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Most Improbable or Impossible Scout Motors Special Edition?

Great question. I’ve driven a Bronco Raptor (such a unique and capable animal that I can’t believe Ford actually built) and was thinking/pondering/dreaming just yesterday that it sure would be amazing if Scout Motors would offer a Raptor fighting type of vehicle. Two problems: 1. I’m guessing...

    Scout Color Poll #1

Yep I’ve seen some of their work and I’m pretty sure I probably subscribed to their channel at some point. Didn’t realize they were still around. I’ve plasti dipped many things over the years with good success. It goes on easy compared to traditional aerosol paints, very forgiving. I’ve done...

48” between Wheel Wells in the Traveler

Yes, it seems like a reasonable possibility based on the information and dimensions we’ve seen thus far.

    Spare tire discussion

True. That’s another possibility. I don’t think I’d go that route, but you’re right. Maybe in a pinch. I’d likely not be able to get in the garage at that point anyway, so like you said not an everyday option for me either.

    Size comparison

This is definitely interesting to see. Thanks for putting it together.

    Nerding out on ramp angles

Please do share if you end up measuring.

    Nerding out on ramp angles

Your logic seems…logical to me. I’d be really stoked if these guesses translate to reality because those numbers are in a JL Rubicon’s neighborhood and would beat it on approach. That would be awesome!

    Instrument Cluster

Great ideas!! I would definitely use features like these.

We need to start a YouTube channel.

Definitely a plethora of information/discussions/ideas floating around here from the past couple of years. I don’t know how a channel would be managed for something like that. I definitely like seeing the few videos that Scout Motors has on their channel though!

    Spare tire discussion

Long story short I think I’ll be forced into having the spare in the bed (which stinks because that probably also rules out a bed cover which I would like to have) because I honestly don’t think Scout Motors can find a way to get a 37 inch (or bigger) spare underneath without compromising...

    Spare tire discussion

Same here and I agree. I’d be looking for 35 or 37 inch tires or larger. I’m hoping the design team will make this possible because I will be taking the low center of gravity of approach; I’d like the smallest lift (or no lift, depending how things work out) with the biggest tire possible in...

    Welcome and Introductions!

Right on! There’s tons of Traveler info on here if you search around. I’m still finding new things every day. Check it out and don’t hesitate to ask questions when they come up.

    Welcome and Introductions!

Welcome to the forum! Congrats on the reservation - that’ll be an awesome duo with that beautiful ’72. Do you think you’ll go with a Traveler or Terra?

Blind Spot Turn Signal Camera Displayed in Instrument Cluster

I agree. Can be very useful while driving, especially off road.

New Scout Video - Forging the Future Episode 1

I’m seeing those lighted door handles at the 1:42 mark. I dig it!

New Scout Video - Forging the Future Episode 1

Oh man, I really love getting these behind the scenes glimpses!! Definitely gets me fired up when I hear those on the Scout Motors team talking about heritage, enthusiasts, community, and customizing! This is all right up my alley.

    Tailgate paint option

Agreed. More rugged from the factory would be a huge benefit. Tailgates can unfortunately take a beating on vehicles that get used - even when you’re being careful.

    Tailgate paint option

I really hadn’t thought about it or noticed it, so I guess it doesn’t bother me as-is. Although I haven’t seen them in person which can make a big difference. It could depend on how a person is going to use the vehicle as to which way they’d prefer it. It could be different on city trims...

    Scout Color Poll #1

I would like to ask for an option to have non-painted mirrors, please. The mirrors on my vehicles always end up with trail scratches (from bushes, trees, etc.) on them and the scratches are much worse to deal with/hide on painted mirrors.
