  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Heated cup holder

You know, it just occurred to me, a heated cup holder would be nice.

    Things to Avoid

On my GMC Terrain, I can’t adjust at what temperature the seat heat comes on. It comes on automatically when the outside air temperature drops below 10c. It would be nice to be able to choose even a temperature range

Thankfully they stopped before it turned into a Pacer….

    Extra, Extra....Read All About It!

I wonder if he’s the guy responsible for the infotainment system in my 2012 GMC Terrain?? It’s like it was put in as an afterthought and it’s annoyed me to this day ? I don’t have Apple CarPlay so I can’t really speak to it, but I do hope that whatever Scout puts in there is intuitive and not...

    Traditional sunroof

While I have no preference either way, I agree that this should be an option.

Terra- Remove LED trim light on Tailgate

Maybe…? No photos in particular, just a standard rectangular tail light (with or without orange turn signal ?) and leave the gate blank so someone could possibly put a nice International Harvester or classic Scout logo on it.

    Removable Doors

Don’t worry, they already made it to the suggestion list ???

Future Model: Scout Sport- Smaller, and more efficient, but still capable.

My first thought was the Jimmy as well, but I noticed that no one has mentioned the fj cruiser. I think if you were to build something in that size range (two door with the half doors for ease of access and address the rear visibility issues that the fj had) it would appeal to those who want...

    Scout Color Poll #1

    A&W or Hires? ?

    Terra tailgate storage

I wouldn’t mind having a basic storage compartment built into the tailgate. It would be convenient for keeping stuff like tie-downs, cargo nets, recovery gear.

    Audible pedestrian warning noise

I wouldn’t mind something like a model A , Harley Davidson or maybe a radial engine. If we had to choose ?

Terra- Remove LED trim light on Tailgate

I’d much rather have a conventional tailgate with the European spec tail lights and offer the current lighting as an option.
