  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

Harbor Freight 25% Off Single Item

Nothing too bad, just the u-joints starting to give out on the front driveshaft. Could hear them chirping, then started getting some vibrations, so figured I'd be safe and pull it. The car's at 168,000 miles, so needed it anyways. Luckily there was an advance auto and harbor freight right next...

Harbor Freight 25% Off Single Item

Wish they had this last week when I had to do a front drivetrain rebuild in the Harbor Freight parking lot mid-road-trip with the Jeep back to Miami!

    Powertrain Wants

Yep, echoing this, the new cars have already been decided to be fully EV. The industry is shifting over to fully electric, with a handful of states banning new ICE vehicles by 2035. Going full electric off the bat allows us to put total focus on the future of where automotive will be, and lead...

This is a gorgeous build, loving the family photo with it also. The stripe package on there is super cool, and really dig the trim details on the interior also.

Super cool and can't wait to see how it fixes up in the shop! Guessing the name Dextro has to do with it being a right-hand-drive? ;)

    DC / Northern Virginia Group?

I actually am not sure if there is a DMV area group, but if not, let’s get one going! I split time between the DC area, Miami, and everywhere else on the road. Would love to meet up with some DMV members sometime!

    What Are You Driving Now?

Love this, and exactly what we like to see! We're stoked that there is a nice mix of Scout owners and enthusiasts, and then people who may not currently have one, but want one, or just like them in general, getting together on here to build a community! As for me, I mentioned before I'm in the...

Scout CEO searching for a Scout

Hah! I actually think he is looking for a Scout II, likely as you described @IdahoJOAT . That being said, any and all Scouts for sale are welcome. I've got my eye on picking one up in the next 6 months or so as well, and potentially seeing what we might be able to do to acquire some for the company.

Scout CEO searching for a Scout

Alright, Scout Community, Our CEO, Scott Keogh, is currently in the market for a Scout, so I'm taking to the forums to see if anyone here is selling a Scout, knows someone who is, or has any recommendations on spots you'd recommend searching. Thanks! Chris
