  • From all of us at Scout Motors, welcome to the Scout Community! We created this community to provide Scout vehicle owners, enthusiasts, and curiosity seekers with a place to engage in discussion, suggestions, stories, and connections. Supportive communities are sometimes hard to find, but we're determined to turn this into one.

Additionally, Scout Motors wants to hear your feedback and speak directly to the rabid community of owners as unique as America. We'll use the Scout Community to deliver news and information on events and launch updates directly to the group. Although the start of production is anticipated in 2026, many new developments and milestones will occur in the interim. We plan to share them with you on this site and look for your feedback and suggestions.

How will the Scout Community be run? Think of it this way: this place is your favorite local hangout. We want you to enjoy the atmosphere, talk to people who share similar interests, request and receive advice, and generally have an enjoyable time. The Scout Community should be a highlight of your day. We want you to tell stories, share photos, spread your knowledge, and tell us how Scout can deliver great products and experiences. Along the way, Scout Motors will share our journey to production with you.

Scout is all about respect. We respect our heritage. We respect the land and outdoors. We respect each other. Every person should feel safe, included, and welcomed in the Scout Community. Being kind and courteous to the other forum members is non-negotiable. Friendly debates are welcomed and often produce great outcomes, but we don't want things to get too rowdy. Please take a moment to consider what you post, especially if you think it may insult others. We'll do our best to encourage friendly discourse and to keep the discussions flowing.

So, welcome to the Scout Community! We encourage you to check back regularly as we plan to engage our members, share teasers, and participate in discussions. The world needs Scouts™. Let's get going.

    Manual Transmission

I like this idea, and we've actually been looking into ways to do something similar. Been heads down planning over the last few weeks (hence not being too active on here) but will definitely take this back and see how a program like this may be able to fit into the schedule/budget over the next...

    Forum / Site Suggestion

Thanks for the feedback and appreciate the kind words! I'll chat with @Jamie@ScoutMotors on this (he's the true mastermind behind the coding and architecture) and see how we may be able to add something like this!

Rivian MTGarage article in latest Motortrend

This is a good point, not to mention, a 500-mile drive is a solid 7-8 hours or so in the car... which can cause some serious fatigue and be a risk to the driver, and other drivers on the road. 250 miles alone is a long distance to travel in one stretch. Planning out a stop to stretch and rest...

Rivian MTGarage article in latest Motortrend

Welcome to the community! Stoked to see another Rivian owner on here, and would love to hear some feedback from a current EV truck owner on features that are helpful, practical, nice to have, wish you had, and maybe could do without!

    DC / Northern Virginia Group?

Sounds like a plan to me! Founding members! Let's plan on getting something in the books, will scope out some other VA Scout members (know we have at least 15 here in the office ;)), and we can get something together. Maybe a summer beach run as the weather gets warmer also?

Stop being politically correct with this electric crap!

This all being said, would love to hear more from you though @Scoutnron . One of the cool things about the Scout Community is that there are people from all sorts of backgrounds who've built their vehicles for all uses, from off-roading and wheeling, to work trucks, daily cruisers, etc. Looks...

Scout CEO searching for a Scout

Hey @Scooter, sorry to hear about the health reasons, and hope you're doing well. Got any pics of the Scout you can send over?

Scout CEO searching for a Scout

Bringing this back to the top... He's searching for a Scout II... toss in any new leads if you have them!

From The History Archives: Where the Scout II Was Headed

Just wait @IdahoJOAT, we have many more sketches and designs that never made it to production... interesting to see where things could have gone, and the progression of design over the decades.

Stop being politically correct with this electric crap!

Gonna compound on this and add in that California is planning to ban new EV sales in light-duty vehicles by 2035, with a bunch of other states following suit. Without existing ICE infrastructure in place for our production, we're able to hit EV production head-on and get a jump start on the game...

    New Old Blends

Hah! Indeed, my brain must've been moving faster than my hands on the keyboard here ;) Meant to say that we're working on the most open feel that we can with the car, and not having the wing windows allows for larger front windows as a whole, and larger openings and more of an open feel with...

    DC / Northern Virginia Group?

Do you know of other Scouts in the Richmond area? I'm up in DC for the next week or so, before heading back down to FL for a few weeks. Would be interested in swinging by to say hey and chat for a bit if you're around! Likewise, @Rustic_father, if you're in the DMV area over the next week, let...

I wish! I'm in the market for one at the moment, have my LJ and an old TJ, but keeping my eye out for a Scout to snag this year. If you see any pop up, toss them on over my way!

    New Old Blends

No such thing as being too excited! We love the enthusiasm and getting lists like these. Some of these have definitely been mentioned, but always happy to see them brought up again, just reinforces some of the stronger feelings and points to hit. The Tailgate and grille are two things that...

Definitely! Will be making a trip down to Georgia and Tennessee soon, may have to loop Alabama in there as well. Maybe make it a nice little road trip home to FL from the office here in VA.

    Door Handles

Definitely some feedback we'll take to the team. I know the designers have door handles on the radar for sure, and the best way to approach them. An interesting aspect about the handles, that one of our designers brought up, was that the handles are one of the parts of the car that users touch...
